Richard Osterland does similar but uses a signed packet for a T&R sweet and low. I do love the idea of combining what you have created with the magi choice to start off with. More layers and less backtracking. I believe that I will combine both methods. Because they are fully involved the majority of the time, I don’t think taking these extra steps would drag it out too long, and would create an even bigger miracle. 26 comments ? Should be higher. I have only seen a couple of your videos, but I am certain that each time I have learned, or been inspired to think a little bit more outside of the box. Thanks

In a aware of his version in both Osterlind's DVD and his WGM appearance(s). 😉 And go for it. That's what I love about sharing. People learn the structure, then change it to themselves. What could be better? Haha (and makes your magic stronger...). All I can say is, play. 😂 Do what makes you happy, and let it flow into actual performances, and your audience will in turn be happy. Remove the steps, if any, that keep you from that "happiness". I am aware it's vague advice, but I'm sure it'll help guide ya. Good luck my friend. 🙏

100%. I think, my opinion, what it really starts with is, what would it look like if it was truly magicial. What SHOULD it truly look like...? May be worth a video deep diving into it. xD

Cool stuff. But if you make the sweetener appear from nothing, then it makes no sense as a prediction (because it looks like you have the power to produce just about anything). Even less so if you make gestures like you're taking it from the unopened package. It would make more sense if you said that you loaded your invisible flask with the thing you felt they'd choose. 🤔

I hope I don't give off that impression (I'm not trying to start religion(s), haha), I only seek to lightly mess with people. 😉 and true. Your idea reminds me of p.77 of Gary Darwin's Thumb tip miracles in the trick "think a colored silk"...not that I would know that offhand. Haha Anyways, good stuff. I'm just trying to get thumbtip magic to be more "commercial" overall. Outside the extremely few knowledgeable magicians, I have a very strong suspicion/impression that Thumbtip magic's been dead in the water for a looooong while (for a multitude of reasons). Though Gary did his part to get it out of that rut. I'll always be thankful for that. 😎👌 Anyways, excuse the ramble, wishing ya a wonderful day, and feel free to check out the other thumbtip stuff on the channel (especially the "thumb tip holster" vid. Hahaha)

Not a fan of thumb tips anymore :( unless it’s for a bill switch. If I’m ever gonna do silk stuff with a thumb tip or any type of vanish I’m gonna use all the moves from JAY SCOTT BERRY. Check out his lecture on penguin magic. Life changing and fooling

I've seen Jay Scott Berry and have the DVD. Wasn't wowed, but I'll say he DID have some nice variants for his whole set. His silk stuff is good, but it's quite intricate and feel like it's more for hecklers and magicians than for the average spectators, as the tempo preference is much slower for an average audience, but that is imo. To be honest, I wasn't a fan of thumbtips originally either. It wasn't until I watched Gary Darwin's Thumb tip DVD that I actually got interested. And to actually make thumb tips practical, you really need a thumbtips holster (made from a large phone holder you carry on the belt, concealed by your blazer, and separated by the foam phone holders come with) to be able to have 3-5 of those t.t.'s ready to go at a moments notice. I made a video on that holder on my channel. Anyway, I ranted (lmao) and wishing you the best in your magic regardless!!! 😎👌

Thumb tips are absolutely amazing. And they can be used for things nobody would suspect. You can just throw a magnet in there, and there's a whole lot of stuff you can do from there. You can use a thumb tip to "balance" a card on the back of your hand (just leaned against a thumb tip standing up). You can stuff flash paper in there if you think you'll disappear a lit cigarette or a match. When you put it in, it will ignite, making the trick a lot flashier.

Why do you have to put it in another hand. ....MOTIVATION MOTIVATION

Not arguing. Totally agree. And I look at how most magic (myself included on occasion) lack motivation. Even lazier, imo is when Ive used well timed misdirection to cover small covert actions needing it. haha
