One upside to this build is the trace really comes in clutch. That drone literally won the end game there by pretty much guaranteeing the Squire couldn't fake you out or escape by breaking line of sight.

Nice job there. Im… shocked at the just complete lack of people shooting at you. Of the 4 elims you had, literally only the Madame even shot back more than twice. Makes the W3 look way better than it is, but hey, it’s got its fans, looks like, so they’ll be happy about this.

a big reason this worked out is because all of the fights were started exactly on your terms, with you engaging first, cool weapon idea but if they start the engagement you're at such a disadvantage

Active cooldown may mean expertise and gadget cooldowns/reload time.

The Recon Drone is a pain to deal with in team games, solid gadget though in those scenarios

Been watching your videos as I've been dragged into trying out DI lately and loving it a lot more than I thought I would. You've been super helpful and I really appreciate it, especially the Hans and Sasori vids as they're my favorites so far lol. I did want to mention though that I encountered what I think was a bug today? After I used the poison vial I couldn't swap to gadgets or even my weapon, and I couldn't "fix" it until expertise came back off cooldown where it let me pull the vial out then put it back away. Was using weapon 2 if that bit matters.

Ya, sadly that's a known bug with that Expertise, hoping it and others get fixed soon. If that happens again I think you can hit the Expertise button again give you back the ability to use your stuff, but your mileage may vary

@@1stGlitch Ah, that's good to know its known at least. Here's to hoping it gets fixed soon as thats my favorite expertise of his. Felt bad cause it happened to me right as a team fight started, so I ended up standing on the sidelines feeling terrible cause all I could do was watch haha.

Sasori's W3 is a great choice for duos and trios since you can stack way more debuffs

I’m guessing the reason you got 14 for the poison test against the dummy but only 11 with the trace test was because of your passive. Since his passive 1 automatically applies trace whenever you poison an enemy its possible you forgot about that and ended up with extra damage. I did some testing myself and 14 seems correct for if your target has 2 debuffs (tested with goo slow + drone trace) It looks like you get diminishing returns on additional debuffs, 1 gives +4, 2 is +7 so 4+3, and adding poison from before gave me +9. Haven’t tested with friends in trios but I assume adding neutralised or exposed won’t add too much extra value unless you had an ace or red to apply the bonus from vulnerable.

The key to whether this weapon is good or not is if the weapon got kills where a W1 or W2 would not have been able to. really think that the easy kills with this one would have been easy with any weapon, and I honestly think the more tricky kills would have worked out better if you didnt have to set up damage first. Like that squire was dead to rights the first encounter, but was able to run and drop the debuffs, which made it a close fight. Also, a question... does Drone work with Social Battery? Seems like that could be a good use of recon drone. Staying mostly safe while healing and getting some scouting in.

I think the weapon should be fun and usable without being necessarily better than the W1 & W2, I'm not sure its quite there yet but it can be good while not being best. As for you question, Yes! You can deploy the Drone during a Social action, its pretty good to do so, so you're not just standing around. You can also deploy the Drone while mimic'd, just make sure no one seeing you launch it!

The trace applied by passive 1 also works, so W3 E2 P1 could be a pretty niche but effective settup

I am not sure Sasori's P1 actually does work, it for sure doesn't add more damage on the training dummies, but maybe it does on players 🤷‍♂️

It doesn't actually work. Sasori's passive 1 doesn't actually apply trace it just makes it so poison also traces the target.

well fair enough that stacking is also cool but I feel like its a too complicated playstyle for many. By trying to apply those many status effects you might get shot first and die or miss your opportunity for a good shot, you need preperation. Also if you want to use the sword its even more complicated. But I get why it can be good on duo/trio

Ya I did say that, and I address that at the start of the video, but basically a couple commenters were super helpful in describing combos I should be looking to achieve, so I decided to give it another go. So now we have the previous video where I describe the issues with the weapon, and this one that shows off how you could use it if you really wanted to. I still don't believe its very good though, my position hasn't changed

All I have is testing with the dummies in Training, which aren't effected by some debuffs, but for body shots: Normal: 7dmg Drone Trace: 11dmg Poison: 14dmg Trace+Poison: 18dmg

@@1stGlitch From what I've been told, the trace and longer poison from P1 and 3 seem to count as an extra debuff, but those debuffs aren't applied properly to dummies, so it's not possible to test it.

i think goo pod is too slow and takes too much setup. i think drone+shield is better. the strategy of w3 drone trace->activate expertise poison->melee for slow debuff->spam shuriken till player hp is low to end with melee. I use shield to setup the wind-up of expertise after hitting drone. it is just that this type of close-range play-style is better done with shotguns like hans. Satori is better with W2 or W1. use W1 for range. use W2 for 1 shot melee.

Please end your expertise early to not waste the poison. It hurts.
