Firefly has hope and all the setup done in Penacony for her to live. Ellio told her upon joining that her journey will give her a way to live on. So she will definitely get her happy ending. Blade on the other hand has a specific death that he's looking for and I'm pretty sure ellio did say that he will find his eventual death aswell, be it a natural death after being freed from mara or otherwise

@siphons5737 money can explain some of it, but not all. Money doesn't explain how she changed that one gambling addicts luck. And especially doesn't explain how she could change it forever with absolute certainty. It also doesn't explain the price jade collected from her. Ruining all her relationships, and making it so she can never have any again. Gambling can cause that in general, but the lady was already a gambler, and a losing one. If she still had close connections, starting to win isn't going to change that. The other two can be explained in normal ways. And the price jade collected makes sense and her use of it is obvious, or at least can easily be guessed at. But the gambler lady throws that all out. She clearly shows it is so kind of special power, and that the price collected doesn't need to be useful to jade, just to fuel the power in some way.

Here's a better fun fact about Firefly: Firefly DOES play games, but she doesn't really like them as theyre described as too plain (by her) compared to piloting SAM, and that Silver Wolf considers her lucky for being able to play a better "game" than her? Also this was confirmed by some guy called History Fictionologist, but did you know apparently the "Stellaron Hunters" never really existed to begin with, since they never captured any stellarons? Instead, their goals have always been aligning with the Astral Express, which makes them a branch of the Express?

Yes you're the only one. Everything about her story is about living. If they actually wanted to kill her off just to cause pain they would have done so already. It goes against the theme and message of her story to have her die. Also I really doubt they will attempt the whole death thing again as they've already done it in Penacony and the only message out of that aswell was that **she will and should live**
