As someone raised Mormon, I would be SHOCKED if Demi was allowed to keep her temple recommend after everything is out on the show. You can lie to your bishop easily to get a recommend, because it's all an honor system, but when the proof is right there, she would likely not be allowed her recommend again (at least not without going through the "repentance process" and a disciplinary council). I don't think anything I saw would get them ex-communicated where they get kicked out of the church, though. It would be a bit of a stretch, but you CAN be excommunicated for "fighting against the church" or "affiliating with known enemies" of the church, and if any of them had a super uptight Bishop the Bishop could decide that the way they portray themselves and the church is not in alignment with church values and excommunicate them simply for being bad representatives of the church.
