Keep up the good work Lee. With regards to the Bagel Building the best method I have used - albeit in a bathroom - is to sand the existing paint back to bare wood(use a mask so you don't inhale mould spores) then repaint with a mould resistant paint, which you can get from all good DIY stores in the UK

Tricky border issue you have Lee. I know your space is tight but I prefer the borders. Scaley track is narrow so the borders allow for some tail happy drifting. I suppose it comes down to what do you want from your layout, is it mainly scenery and buildings and less on the track or do you want more from the race experience. I must admit I am not keen on the sand coloured borders so I have sprayed all of mine a black/grey colour. I think it looks more natural. Look forward to seeing what you come up with buddy 👍

And yes, a 50/50 water/PVA wash will help to fight off the mold on any laser cut wood buildings. Anything that seals the wood from moisture getting into it.

Great track update Lee. I remember Paul from SC2021 having a few issues but apart from that never had it before. I know Paul had his in a shed too. I reckon a small but firm tip brush to scrape all mould away (Outside with a mask on) then maybe a couple coats of a spray lacquer, that way if it happens again its easily wiped off.

Ey up Lee, i added a 4' x 2' hairpin extension to my circuit to make things a bit more challenging . I wasn't too sure to begin with but it makes things interesting when pushing for a new fastest lap time. I love your new circuit from the elevated part and the turn at the far end of the shed.Give the hairpin a go if you want to extend the lap, you can always refer back to how it is if your not happy with it. Plenty to keep you busy for the next few weeks. All the best mate. 👍

Not sure about the mould Lee. I have plenty of buildings including many Mag Racing kits and I have never had an issue with mould even when stored in my loft that like all lofts suffer from extremes of temp. I recall SlotCar 2021 put out a mould video last year, perhaps take a look at his channel 👍
