Good show of detecting, onya Pete. Willing the sign of a change in the threshold had us a chuckle, but fair thought for if the wind is up it's harder to hear, with our Equinox I have one ear covered by headphone, the other uncovered, more for better feeling the place you're at, rather than safety, but that's also there, maximize the awareness, otherwise you're not "feeling it" and not at one in focus with the machine. Sometimes it's the lack of signals, or none of the right sorts! Sometimes it's user malfunction, the run-up is good, the popping at the crease is a mess. You're teaching us to actualise the bit about "happy swinging", cheers to you for this!
@PetesGoldAdventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, you always have to be positive that the next signal might be the one, so a bit of positive thinking can't hurt. I do prefer the headphones on, but can roll with an external speaker. Keep at it mate, "will" those signals and you just never know what might just turn up. Cheers mate

Thanks Crouch, I can't fault the Goldhawk, it's doing a great job and punching down pretty deep, that one nugget was a good depth for the size. Glenno won't take his off and I'll keep rolling with that one. When the old timers hit the pay layer they belled out or drove along the drift, so they got the best of it. Enjoy Tibb mate. Cheers Pete

Gday Pete. Love your vids. I'm learning all the time. Could I ask which editing app you use. I'm heading to the Golden Triangle this week for my first detecting trip and hope to film my exploits for friends back home. I'm hiring a GPX 6000 from Maryborough. Cheers.
@PetesGoldAdventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoy the video's and hopefully pick up a few tips a long the way. When you head out, hit up the old timers diggings, that will give you the best chance at finding some gold, just like in this video, don't go off into the bush, go where the old boys found it in the goldrush, they left plenty behind and have fun with the lead shot. We edit with adobe premiere pro, slight overkill for a small edit. I film with a DJI gimbal that has its own app, but you can film with your phones camera, and then download an app called Light Cut, it's what i use to edit shorts or video's at times, really easy to use and you can do it all on your phone, just stretch out the frame rate for ease of editing, you just spread two fingers on the film reel and it takes out the frames. Give it a crack, it's pretty easy. Cheers, Pete
@michael6122 ай бұрын
@@PetesGoldAdventures thank you so much. I really appreciate the advice. I'll be spending a bit over 3 weeks camping in various areas around the Triangle and will be hiring a GPX 6000 from Maryborough Gold Centre for a total of 10 days. Cheers.
