Paul, I've learned a lot watching your videos allowing me to perform my own maintenance on my BX25 and add a few mods as well. One video in particular is the grapple you added along with the 3rd function valve. I'll be adding the valve to mine next year to angle its 60 inch plow. To my friends to the North, Thank You! Bob

Nice Tech Tip, short and to the point. Would love to see more should you ever get the time to share. Thanks Paul.

I broke the knob off. I put a wrench behind the knob and hit it with a hammer, and off it came. Not the whole knob, just the part you grab as you stated. It wasn't the end of the world, it was not an expensive part. You are right about moving the engine forward. I replaced my HST fan last summer and I rebuilt the CV joints while I had the tractor apart. It was not too difficult, just time consuming as I learned what I needed to do. Great information Paul. When I put the new knob on, I used a little anti-seize lubricant. Next time I remove the knob, I will make a removal tool like you made. Thanks for the BX Tech Tip.

Hey Paul great videos. Have you ever done a brake replacement on a BX25D?
@78633484 жыл бұрын
There are no mechanical brakes on a BX .

Paul & Kathy Short I bought a BX and it has no brakes and the adjustment rod doesn’t have any left. What kind of brake system does it have?
@78633484 жыл бұрын
Hydraulic brakes. Part of the HST system.

Excellent tutorial on getting the knobs off.. However, I suggest a real penetrating oil instead of standard WD40, as it has poor penetrating abilities. WD brands does make a real penetrating oil, as do the other companies.. I have had good luck with Knock-Er-Loose, in this very exact issue. Without being able to remove the knob, I used a strap wrench on the knob. Now that I know the method, I will work on that knob. THANK YOU!!!!!!
@78633484 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it but I’ve been using WD-40 for over thirty years and found it to be a great product. It’s exceeded my expectations every time. We’ll have to agree to disagree lol. Have a great day Jennifer. 👍

"easy to make"... if you have the tools to do so. Are you going to start making this? I know mine is frozen, but I don't worry about it since I don't use it. But... I'd like them to work properly.

I appreciate the tips. WD-40? I know that the WD40 corp must be excited to see an endorsement, but in my experience that is not the best rust solvent. Use that to lube your door hinges. If you have rust issues, I highly suggest PB Blaster (PBB). Even 'Liquid Wrench Penetrant' is superior to WD-40 for rust. I have been amazed at PBB every time I use it, which is at least once a month here on my ranch.
@78633484 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your input. I guess I should have said “ use a penetrating fluid of your choice “. I’ve always said there are three things one should never talk about. Religion, politics, and petroleum products . Lol
