I went to Arcola Creek last Friday. It was a pretty decent rockhounding beach as you said, but man it was gross. There was a bit of trash, but the real problem was that some fisherman left two huge dead carp on the beach. The water was pretty nasty too lol. I'm used to Lake Michigan and I'll tell ya what, Erie does not measure up to Michigan! Thanks for the videos btw

@@billiondollardan just an FYI. I heard that the water in Lake Erie rolled over a few days ago causing a big fish kill. Lake Michigan rolls over too although this big of a dead fish problem is unusual. My grandkids experienced the same huge gross fish kill at Lake Erie. Sorry for your experience.

@@timtalksaboutrocks....most6644 Oh! I had no idea. We'd get dead alewives on Lake Michigan most summers, but since there were only two fish there I thought it was a fisherman. Thanks for letting me know!

Unfortunately you haven’t been to my very rocky beach! I find similar rocks to lake superior! Some beaches have way more rocks than others. Happy hunting!

Thanks for watching and commenting. Finding similar rocks to Lake Superior is awesome they are usually quite gorgeous. Much of Lake Erie rockhounding is for sedimentary and metamorphic as opposed to Lake Superior with all those wonderful igneous rocks. However, when I am on Lake Superior I miss finding the fossils that I love so much.
