Oh what if I told you all of the Unison plugins and everything Universal Audio built for the UAD-2 platform & Luna extensions only run at either 44.1K or 48K internally so if you use any sampling rate above 48K you are basically not able to get the benefit of the higher sampling rate since they use a marketing gimmick to explain their plugin deficiency. Basically a 24K low pass filter. 44.1/88.2/176.4/192 run at 44.1 internally and 48/96 run at 48K internally this is why DSP doesn't increase equally with sampling rate. This same flaw is also in their native plugins (unless they were UAD-1 era plugins) So everything except the DBX 160 and LA-3. So to be honest if you want DSP for tracking just get MOTU, RME or Antelope and avoid UAD if you can.

@@masterthismasterthat yep just do a bandwidth test at different sampling rates and then read the high definition marketing in the back of the UAD plugin manual. It’s sketchy and they try to cover it up with marketing nonsense, they even had sound on sound write a puff piece article about it 10 years ago.

Weirdly, if you own an Apollo or three, you cant even buy the Sound City plugin for them. Getting disrespected after spending thousands of dollars on UAD hardware, sucks. That overpriced plug should be $50.00 max for Apollo owners. UA Connect can FORK itself.

I mean yeah not all of their plugins are dsp now. All of their instruments for example are native. I do wish the sound city was dsp though. It still rules however!

😂.. My Apollo is amazing. You failed to mention that UAD hardware emulates the actual hardware it represents. Imagine recording your vocals perfectly already 🧏🏾‍♂️ If you don't like UAD don't use UAD get the cheapest option. But don't act as if your attempt to smear them isn't backed by your desire to want them. Go get a subscription. 😢
