That scanner must be what gives the cards theyre value, and when the dealer scans the card that is face down for the second time, that might be when someone behind a computer tells the scaner what to reveal to favor the house.

If you are dealing out 1000 hands in a day, your head will go in kinda like airplane mode. It will not remember anything that's not worth remembering. Like for example the previous hand. But if there was 5 BJ on, I think the dealer would recognize the last round. Even though it would be nice to see the dealers point of view when you play :)
