One of my biggest weakness weaknesses with Manon was underestimating her stMP and crMP, especially when it comes to DR. I'm honestly amazed I made it past Plat without this incredible knowledge, thank you so much for posting this

It’s a really good anti air, and it also puts the opponent in the corner too. I do it all the time.

I resort to it a lot mostly as my main AA. More often than not QCF K, back MK, back HP will go under/trade and get me punished.

1:08 this is not the most optimal but the easiest confirm you can do on DP Punish. The optimal combo is: 4HP, 236MP(K), 236KK, DR, 2MP, 236MP(P). With this combo, it adds another charge to your grabs without spending SA gauge.

And uses 3 drive gauge which is more important to Manon than super meter. I wouldn't do this unless it was going to kill, only leave my opponent 1.

I wish her side switching kick was faster. Like not the frame data but like the duration of the animation so you could be a little more sneaky with it on resets.

I'd never even tried to link SA off of crouch MP that's pretty neat. To note though, I don't think QCB HK is her best DP punish. I'm pretty sure DR HK is better in every way whenever drive meter is available. It gives you enough time to link a walk forward b.HP into whatever.

I wanted to try Modern Manon but when I realised her cr.MP is missing, I knew it's not a serious option.

Yeah, however she's playable in modern, i made it to master and there is even a buddy of mine in japan whos master modern manon with like 1700 MR so it can be used. There is just some buttons we use differently so for example we cant use standing HK so instead i use the spin special and kick, which actually has better frame advantage.@@Af0

Resets wont work against Platinum and under cos players are almost constantly mashing. That reset works for Masters and Diamond.

OKAY I FOUND ANOTHER TECH RELATED TO THE LAST ONE IN THE VID. you can get the sideswitch into command grab anywhere. It instead requires a drive impact punish counter then it's quarter forward M punch into kick then down forward H kick with H command grab finishing it. Can we see this in the vid so more Manon mains are aware 😢 you get the same frames as the last one too being -2 (just credit me as doodle bro pls )

​@@WILFACTS there's a combo way to get the reset to be +2 or 0 The change is dependent on how quick u hit the down forward kick here's how the new one goes St mp - Dr - back hp - qtr fw Lp - any kick - df kick into qtr back This leads to 4262 total but u can switch out the command grab for a meterless combo to keep them guessing. If they mash jab in the reset you get a free jab into Lqtr fw kick into lv 3 super if you're quick enough

Badass, thank you for this! Out of curiosity, what do you think of Manon being placed pretty low on tier lists in general. Do you agree or disagree with her being weaker than most of the cast?

She's definitely not at the top with JP, Ken, Guile - but possibly a good mid. But for her to be played at that level the player must have excellent defense because she can die quickly in the corner.
