At the end of the day, I feel this whole situation/discussion will be for naught. These are the same people who will spend money and show off(or promote) current and future banners. If you want to blame a company that is fine but you shouldn't be reinvesting(clarification: by partnering with them or giving them money) back into the company if you hate or dislike it's practices. So yes, mr.pokke is right because no one has yet to prove they actually want to change the the outcome of how HSR is currently. Prove me wrong.

@@Incrediblytone They are not well known and don't understand anything about Meta, it will be tolerable when they really understand it in depth, their arguments look like people whose skill issues are not much different from the Tectone Circle It would be better if people like Ruri Gokou came. They understand more and will be very connected when discussing meta and powercreep because they are experts.

Turbulance and enemies being catered to the unit released proping up a character's power, more than expectations, you shouldn't expect it to feel the same after turbulance and enemy shilling leaves. This guy thinks power is just tied to the character when its more complicated than that. Archeron feeling less during feixiao's run because now every enemy is 20% to 40% resistance to lightning and don't put debuffs on the enemy when they die (penacony dogs). This is chasing for fomo. Feixiao is feeling less now because AOE is being shilled right now, and guess what, now archeron feels better than Feixiao because AOE is being shilled for current moc, and Archeron is the better AOE dps than Feixiao. That defeats your powercreep argument, what is smart is trying to have a healthy amount of AOE to Blast to single target and type coverage for your account.

Honestly, my personal opinion is that i am enjoying this powercreep. For the past few patches, i was just playing all end game content on auto, but now, i need to try out different builds and teams to see which works and which doesn't because auto no longer works. I am the type of guy MrPokke is referring to (a light spender buying only monthly pass), carefully planning my pulls. My account will save at least a 100 pulls in any situation, just in case a future unit turns about to be strong, or i lose my 50/50. I have enough to invest in selective DPS on my account, e.g acheron e2 w lc, firefly e2 w/o her lc, robin e1 w/o her lc etc. This powercreep gives me the sense of actually playing the game now, feeling the minor sense of achievement for all the right investment i have made using the limited resources i have. Is the game truly fun if you don't feel challenged by it? Of course, i understand it feels shitty to invest money on a character, only for it to fall off due to powercreep. I get it, that's how i felt with my silverwolf and blade. But what's done is done, we all know this is coming, nothing can last forever, not even the current meta. Something will always replace what you have, this does not just apply for gacha games, it's how life works as well. Either you move with them, or get left behind, that's how reality is.

@mrhim265 well, thanks man, got to keep it real. As for blade and SW, i never regret pulling for them.(freaking love the gamer girl and edge lord hahaha). IMO, no decision is a bad decision, because what you did at that very point of time is what you think is the best for you. So i think MrPokke made his point very clear and is irrefutable, even his choice of wording is correct. People who chose to chase every character, knowing that they are f2p or light spender, is either greedy for gambling on the low probability of winning the 50/50 with limited resources, or stupid for not knowing their limitation and spend irresponsibly.

42:38 omg, this comment. Im literally a complete f2p, didn't spend any money in the game, i keep clearing moc fully for a little bit less than a year. Because i was lucky with 50 50 pulls i got some waifu chasing, that i barely use and pulled just because i like character itself, but i pulled them because i already have teams that clear content. Like this person assumes that because he can't do it, other people can't as well. Getting someone like Boothill or Firefly with Ruan Mei basically completes the break team. Acheron on release needed Pela for the most part and whatever another nihility with debuffs, later on yes, you would like to have Signature and JQ(JQ is priority), but literally half a year passed since that point, if person really wants to keep using Acheron they would skip Yunli and Jade and get JQ in the next patch. From the moment drip marketting happens we have like half a patch left before the next patch, the whole next patch, and in the worst case scenario half of the patch with the release of character, there is 100% enough jade to get character you really want/need(pulling new harmony unit usually make you fine for a long time even if you would skip unit comming after that one), and from time to time you would just win 50 50, so getting next character in line is much easier, sometimes you would just get early as well, on the distance it all evens out really well.

I really liked this discussion, but i have no idea why when they describe them feeling bad for missing new shining thing they make it a power creep problem when old teams can still clear end game.

At the end of the day, whether you’re vertically or horizontally investing in your teams, it’s just something every player has to figure out. You’ve got to pick one. The reason we’re dealing with HP inflation now is because of how strong the new teams have gotten. I’m not a fan of it, but like Pokke said, there are ways to work around it. The game is actively trying to give people both options whether to pull for new characters or keep pulling for old characters which is why we have the banners in 3.0. Still, I hope the devs don’t keep pushing it further, because if they do, it’s definitely going to become an issue. For now, though, I don’t think it’s completely out of hand yet.

Just play as f2p if you really want to prove a point. All gacha games endgame is clearable within 1-3 months if you tried too hard. If you can't clear all endgame within that span then that means powercreep is getting out of hand.
