More Must Know Cyber Dragon Combos | Updated In Depth Combo Guide

With the recent banning of Predaplant Verte Anaconda, various aspects of my previous Cyber Dragon Combo video are no longer TCG legal. With that in mind, I decided to create a new in-depth and updated combo guide. Several Cyber Dragon combos will be showed in this videos alternative routes without verte, extra combos, and combos with different Cyber Dragon variants.

There are a few notes I would like to make about this video: In the second combo I made a mistake where I stated you can use any monster to discard off of nachster. In the combo I showed it is actually impossible to continue the combo unless the monster is specifically cyber dragon or you have an extender. In the first combo there is a line of play where your final board can be Infinity + Sieger + Almiraj

Just a note. On the second combo with core and machine dup, you say the monster in hand can be any monster, but if it is not cyber dragon, then nachster isn’t able to special the cyber dragon from gy and continue the combo.

Thanks for letting me know. I was slightly off when recording this video so I made just a few errors and this is one of them. You can still make the board I showed luckily as long as you have an additional extender. Depending on how you do it though rampage dragon may not be able to attack (if you use rampage dragon + cyber dragon to summon nova).

Great video. I just have a question at the end of the video : with power bond, you summon the chimeratech by banishing 2 monsters from your GY. Is it really possible ?

Thank you for the compliments. To answer your question, yes, it is possible. It's possible because we searched it using Cyberdark Chimera, which has an effect that allows us to banish monsters from the GY to fusion summon. It reads, "...once when you Fusion Summon this turn, you can also banish monster(s) from your GY as material". Note that Chimera must be used, and under normal circumstances you cannot do this. So if you draw power bond instead of searching it with Chimera, this won't work.

i think that if you use siegers effect no one takes battle damage from the attacks, or does this not count for direct attacks?

Some people have this misconception but it's actually not true at all. If you use Sieger's effect, neither player can take damage from attacks involving Cyber Dragon Sieger. I must clarify that this means ONLY Cyber Dragon Sieger; all of your other monsters will still deal damage, including the monster you selected to gain attack (unless you chose Sieger ofc). I hope this helps!

So, Sieger can increase the dmg of rampage, and you can take lp with that to OTK? Or... Maybe i misunderstand something.

Sieger can raise the attack points of rampage dragon by 2100 putting it at a total of 4200 ATK. Since rampage dragon can attack 3 times this does a total of 12600 damage.

@@davedavid3856 A lot of people get confused on that for some reason. What it means is that your opponent cannot take damage from Cyber Dragon Sieger's attacks. Rampage dragon will still deal damage, but Cyber Dragon Sieger will not. You can still attack over a monster with Sieger but it will not deal any damage. Make sure you buff Rampage dragon before completing damage calculation with Sieger.

Ah, I believe you are referring to "El Pato Sonico". It is a damaged Spanish printing of Sonic Duck. I got it from someone at my locals.

How does nova return cyber dragon when there should be no targets as u r detaching him at same time?

Nova targets after detaching for cost, so as long as there is another cyber dragon in the graveyard you can activate nova and then target the cyber dragon you just detached. Cards like Cyber Dragon Core, Cyber Dragon Herz, etc... change their name to Cyber Dragon and allow this to work.

You send the xyz material Cyber Dragon to the grave then summon the same monster back.

you can't bring back the cydra you discarded with nachster if you don't already have a valid target I think

If you just discarded it, you can because nachster send for cost to special summon, and then activates to revive a monster after its normal/special summon. This allows for there to be a legal target in the GY before activating nachster.

@@ant-onemusic444 The interaction is useful and has helped me get some cheeky OTKs before, so it is nice for nachster to work like that. It doesn't come up too often though since most of the time special summon CyDra is the play when going second with an opening hand. Once again, it allows for some neat plays though, and it's pretty cool for that.

I am passionate about this deck. It's so iconic and nostalgic. But I'm left disappointed after watching this video. These combos seem to be suboptimal. I mean you go into Infinity, but you use a lot of cards and get there without synergizing your plays. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think the whole point of a combo is to use a couple cards to build a board that's impressive; not to use an impressive hand to make a basic Cyber Dragon Monster.

I'm sorry that the video was a disappointment. I will in fact agree that the combos aren't particularly impressive but unfortunately there does not seem to be a line of play that makes incredibly good use out of the hands. This is mostly because of the kind of deck cyber dragon is, and it is not really a combo deck per se. It would be more accurate to call these "Cyber Dragon Plays" as the video shows more of the basic moves you can and should know how to perform with the deck. I did not try to do anything crazy or innovative with the deck in this video mostly because I wanted to present new lines of play without anaconda, using the same cards. In practically all of the plays I showed in the video there are various different lines of plays or actions you can take to battle your opponent, and most of that knowledge comes with experience. For example, these plays have good board breaking potential and they create a solid follow up play for the damage that has been done to the opponent's board in the process (whether throw contact fusing away monsters during the combos/plays or using other cards to board break in general). I have not seen any incredible or impressive combos with the deck though, but if there are some floating around, please let me know. I appreciate your thoughts on the video, and if you have any ideas for the future of Cyber Dragons I would be happy to discuss.

@@LegendaryDragonDuelist Well idk if this counts in your book as a pure CD combo. But if you have Cyberdark Realm and Cyberdark Chimera, you can make 2 Megafleets (assuming your opponent has a Link out on the field) and go into Gustav Max/ Skypalace/ Liebe/ Zeus. All you need in hand is a Core and a Cyber Dragon. And of course both of those are searcheable via Emergency. But you're right if you play only Cyber Dragon cards you can't really pull off as much.

@@metaggrit The variant with the Cyberdark cards I have traditionally considered them to be more of an OTK Cyber Dragon variant. The combo seems good since it uses searchable cards and little hand resources as well. I have found the Cyberdark cards to be clunky rather than useful in my testing though which is why I have not looked into it as much as I probably should. Definitely a combo that I missed that should have been in the video. I am starting to get interested in creating a build with the Cyberdark cards that does not focus on OTKing but plays like the pure variant, which I consider to be board breaking and ridding of your opponent's resources to drain their life points over the course of the game.

I have one posted on the channel, but it utilizes a banned card in the form of predaplant verte anaconda. Luckily the rest of the deck is still solid so simply replace anaconda and you will be good (i would also recommend considering a 2nd copy of overload fusion and a copy of cyberload fusion). There is a good chance that I will be uploading another deck profile for cyber dragons in the future but it will most likely be the trap variant.

I’m a cyber dragon player but I’m also a red-eyes player too and as a red-eyes player I’m still able to use dragoon on ppl 😢😢😢🤣🤣🤣 summoning 2 dragoon is even funnier lol. Also at 11:39 you can’t special summon cyber twin dragon using nachster while it’s banished bc while it’s banished it’s not consider a cyber dragon.

Ah yes, Red-eyes can still use dragoon very well lul. Also to clarify, if you look at that portion of the video, nachster is on the field, therefore you are allowed to use it to fusion summon twin dragon.
