at minute 9:22 you said 95% of the time we're gonna get the sample mean,, dont you mean the population mean? meaning; 95% of the time we're gonna get the population mean , and 5% of the time we'll miss it .. ?

Hi Rahul...great explanation. Wanted to if the standard deviation we used to calculate CI is already available ? Bit confused with this. Also as the population is huge so we use sampling...going by same logic how come we know the population standard deviation, which we also used in our calculations.

Use the data given to you. Usually they will provide a sample variance. Use an estimate, and find the confidence bounds. If not, you can usually get away with using table tricks like looking at the tails and stuff
