More on Tony Evans / Is His Trans-Dispensationalism Doctrine the Same as Billy Graham's Wider Mercy?

When Tony Evans stepped down from ministry it led to massive amounts of people looking into the pastor and what he taught. His most controversial doctrine, along with his apparent denial of original sin has to be his teaching known as Trans-Dispensationalism which says people can go to heaven without ever hearing the gospel or knowing the name of Jesus. In the video link below pastor John MacArthur called it a "departure from the historic Christian Gospel".

Pastor Michael. Thank you so much for sharing Bible truth that is much needed in these days of darkness. I agree that we must pray for Tony Evans, and not bash him and all those pastors who are steering their flock away from Jesus Christ and what he did at the cross and giving them another gospel to tickle their ears and make them feel good while they are on the way to hell. I have been praying for Tony Evans and if Jimmy Swaggart did not repent from this teaching, my heart is breaking right now because Jesus clearly said in John 14: 6, “I am the way the truth and the light no one comes to the father, but through me.” There is no other light other than Jesus Christ. My pastor at my church teaches also Bible truth and I’m so blessed that he is one of a few pastors that will not preach for popularity or wealth, but for God’s Glory in His son Jesus which is desperately needed right now. Thank you so much. I’ve been watching your videos, and I love that you don’t bash anybody but do nothing but correct in love against fall doctrine. Praying for you and your family and please don’t change but remain faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ ❤

You are correct! This whole debate (although there should be no debate) hinges on Romans 1-3 and Romans 10! Romans 3:10-20 - no one seeks God, they have all turned aside! Romans 10:14-15 - how can someone believe if they have never heard the gospel?

@Pastor Michael Grant I appreciate your stance on this and I learned some things. Thank you. I sit under Dr. Tony Evans and I don't agree with everything he preaches but I do agree with about 98% of it. I think he is one of the most Biblically accurate preachers/pastors today. I appreciate the fact that you didn't call them FALSE TEACHERS but stated that you DISAGREE with their stance on certain Biblical teachings. I don't know if there is a preacher that I agree with 100% of what they teach. I study the Word for myself (Berean) so I know when something sounds off. However, this "transdispensationalism doctrine" is new to me. Thanks for the information. I will proceed with caution. But I stand fully on the Word of God and I still trust Dr. Evans to preach the Word of God unadulterated. But at the same time I know when something sounds off or different from the Bible. And I don't care who said it, if it doesn't line up with God's Word then I don't take it in.

Why do we deny what we don’t understand instead of seeking answers directly from God. I want to know what happens to people who cannot believe in Jesus because they have no understanding because they are incapacitated, their mind does not fully function, the disabled? Also what about those whom have never heard of Jesus Christ and have died?

My question is do all babies go to heaven or do only babies of the saved go to heaven. (e.g King David's child went to heaven 2 Samuel 12:23, he said "I shall go to him"). The bible is silent on this issue I think.

@@coltdoc1 Genesis 15 & Romans 4 is very clear Abraham was saved because He believed the special revelation that God gave him, there is zero evidence that Abraham knew specifically that there would be a God / Man named Jesus who would die on the cross and rise again, Abraham however knew God, the people Evans speaks of who do not know God nor do they have special revelation that is a completely different situation.

Sorry TE people don't seek after God. Not the true God. I think scripture is clear we come into the world dead in trespasses and sin. Ephesians 2. We have no desire or ability to come to Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:14, John 6:37,44, Romans 8:7. We must be born again from above. John 3:3-12.

To think God has a requirement ( accepting Jesus as Lord ) and yet doesn’t make certain every person will hear the gospel and would withhold their Salvation is not knowing God Almighty. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Couldn't God Himself sovereignly choose to apply the saving blood of Jesus to someone? When the death angel was going to destroy Egyptian pagans, The Israelite father applied the sacrificial blood on the door posts and the death angel passed over that whole household. The children didn't apply it.

Pastor Grant, your answer to Corey's argument fails. Infants are born with original sin and lacking saving faith. Just like the adult heathen, they need their sin forgiven to enter into heaven. Your argument is that they are less guilty than the heathen. We can't waive away the infant's original sin and lack of faith with a magic wand. I encourage you to correct this.

I stand by the statement that a 2 week old baby cannot sin and the Scripture considers him innocent. Deut 1:39, Isaiah 7:16, of course children have the sin nature but the majority of Evangelicals share my view even many Reformed pastors such as John MacArthur. The idea God sends infants who die to hell for Adam's sin is a minority view. The sins of the fathers are visited upon the children but Ezekiel 18 says the son shall not bear the guilt of the father.

If someone right now had God appear to them, they can add it to the bible as scripture. It does not happen, not once at all since the New Testament times. All those that claim they have had God speak to them are presumptuous at best lunatics or at worst false prophets.
