I just got my Tech Ticket on Friday 11/22/2024. I’ve been watching your videos for at least a couple of years. My name is Joe. KQ4YYN. My daughter signed onto my KZbin account that I just noticed. I’ll probably change it back tomorrow. Thanks for all your quality videos and thoughts on Ham Radios.

Cool set up! Glad to see I’m not the only guy putting radios in work trucks. 73

Holy smokes Eric .. might you have enough equipment in that truck?? … looks great. Have a fantastic Friday and great weekend…

NIce setup! I bought one of those mics but haven't installed yet so it was interesting to hear your take on it.

Aw man, welcome to Tally!!! Wish I was able to run into you while you were here! HAM and GMRS are both not nearly as busy as it is down in your area, until a storm gets close. Hit Midtown Caboose for dinner if you're still in town!

I used to have the sickness like that. 😆 Nissan Frontier FT-857D, LDG tuner, Wolf River Silver Bullet Mini coil, ID-5100A, Uniden 980SSB. RigRunner power distribution, coax switch. For me it was a distraction. Too many mics/cables, control head cables tucked away. I’ve grabbed the wrong mic more than a few times. Next iteration I’m keeping it simple.

Good to see the CB radio in your mobile. The DX is rolling on Channel 38 Lower Sideband to the UK daily.

This looks like something a KGB agent would drive. But jokes aside, this looks cool

I never thought of hooking up my CB radio in my mobile. My Ram Mount computer and IC 7100

I’ve got a GMRS, CB, and Ham in my car, too, but alas, only 2m/70cm for Ham. Nice setup, dude!

Curious to see how you wire the power for the radios.

Did you mount the antenna in the rear/bed? If so how did you get the coax in?

RAM-B-202AU for the ic-7100 works better so you dont have rubber feet blocking anything.

Are you trying to compete with Ham Radio 2.0? He just released a vid just like yours showcasing all of his truck radios as well, lol.
@HamRadioConcepts3 ай бұрын
Not at all I haven't even seen his videos in a long time. I don't "compete" with anyone, this is youtube.

@@HamRadioConcepts hope you know that was a joke! Thanks for the reply.

@@bruehltIm not mad, I can take a joke, I just hope you know I'm not that guy that feels like I need to compete. I have met those guys many times at hamfests, but If you notice, I just do this for fun anymore, and thhis is why my KZbin channel failed miserably, I do not do what KZbin is telling me to do. I pop out a video on a phone after 4 months of no videos, and I don't even make thumbnails. KZbin says I need to make a video per day, with a catchy thumbnail to hook the viewer for at least 5 minutes so more ads run, and keep them "guessing" at what the goal of the video is.. I refused to follow KZbins guidelines and their stupid "creator college" and therefore, my channel goes down in flames. Now, I cater only to those who care to watch something for 5 minutes. This rant just comes out of my mouth with honesty. No judgement to any other KZbinr. I make so much money from my amazing career and nothing from KZbin, but I have to remember those who stuck with me all these years and supported me so I can't click "delete channel" that wouldn't be fair them after I asked them to follow me years ago when I was brain warped by that KZbin "machine"... It was like an addiction, KZbin would say "wanna be even better than everyone else? Do this and we will make you shine"... Sorry, it's a video on a phone from a regular guy like myself, I'm not playing the KZbin game and haven't since they warned me.. Please don't take this personally. You mean more to me as a friend than as a commenter. Just my story... 73 bro

Eric I wouldn't say your channel failed miserably at all. I and others love watching your videos man! Why do you think I comment on all of them. In any case, keep doing what you're doing! I only wish I had a ham club like you guys have down there. Here in Orlando things aren't as rosy. Anyhow hope you have a good Labor Day weekend!

Your channel is awesome it's one of the few left that don't look like you're auditioning for a role in a hollywood movie. Most youtubers think we watch to see them instead of what they're doing and can't keep their face out of the camera.

Not sure i understand the need to have every kind of radio in the truck. Do you carry a DMR, Fusion, GMRS, and analog HT with you whenever you leave the house? Personally i think it looks a little overkill, but if this is what floats your boat...
@chublez3 ай бұрын
I mean I carry 3 of the 4 in one radio. Only need to carry 2 Radios to have all 4 really.

@M1ke_A On the one hand, it looks like he's trying to win the "Wacker of the Year" award. On the other hand, that's his choice. But the thing that bothers me is that CB that's about halfway blocking the brake pedal. It's either going to cause a wreck itself, or possibly break a leg if he's in a wreck.
@chublez3 ай бұрын
kinda wondering why if you'll run GMRS on the 7100 you wont just run 11M on there? Pretty sure it'll blow George out of the water there.

None at all. Easy to tuck wires into plastics so you don't see them and easy to get through the firewall for power
