Started off by saying I hoped this guy started to feel guilty about doing this and what do you know. my wish came true. What'd make it even better is if his guilt stemmed from him falling in love with the listener so the guilt never leaves and he actually wants to learn to control himself when feeding from the listener. Also, have to admit I just about lost it when he said, "please" to the listener, I literally said, "Now see, was that hard?" I'd even be willing to let him drink if he'd ask nicely again. I would get so excited if this guy would eventually end up becoming a soft and sweet guy, I just love when vampires go through the transformation of sadistic and evil to sweet and kind. It also was nice to hear him call himself a monster as, at the very beginning he was definitely the definition of a monster, he didn't care about others, he only used what he could and never actually cared about the rest. Now he's changing and he's actually starting to show tendencies of caring about the listener and he actually values them, he's losing what makes him a monster. That would be so exciting to see that develop. Oh I really hope this ends up with the speaker realizing that he's acting just as weird as the listener which eventually leads him to understand he loves them. That would throw such a curve ball for him trying to tread the line of feeding from the listener, but also not wanting to harm them like he has previously.

I don't blame the listener to find humor on this. The picture of him monologuing before drinking from them, probably even straining them while doing all the monologue does paint a dark humor picture. Also, not crazy, since one resorts to aligerate situations with humor in order to precisely keep the sanity.

I have a theory! I think this is cupcake and his origin story AND I think it “concludes” with her being attacked by another vampire, her brother sacrificing himself seeing his sister being attacked. He dies from this, she comes back obvs. It’s why cupcake doesn’t blame or hate (our vampire) him but still goes into monster hunter to “avenge” her brother and put her curse to good use.
