When running older models the maintenance becomes a full-time job 😂 basically everything with fluid, joints with a grease nipple, sensors,,,,etc… glad to see you making it work & not paying $100k for a truck that will probably have the same amount of mechanical issues & not mention the depreciation given the mileage the job entails

I own a 6.0 right now, this is my 3rd one now and I would damn near say I’m 6.0 certified for a back yard mechanic lmao. Ik we’ve talked a little bit but imma sell it before I start transporting trying to get a 18 plus cummins and start with horizon

My man I worked at tire shop for couple years.....that hole is to close to shoulder. Your tire is going to flex on that plug and they say it is not safe. We could never patch plug anything on that side of tread line....just an FYI do you but thought I would let ya know. Oh and should be done from inside tire with a plug patch not just a plug.

I really like your channel. Already subscribed. I am about to quit my job as a teacher and start doing this full time. I only run RV transport in summer months. But the school I work for is going year round. I only work for a few dealerships within a hour or two from my home and hual livestock for a few sale barns. But I have never done it for say Horizon or Synergy. So if I got a question for anything about that can I ask you?

I've been looking at getting into your line of work but am unfamiliar with what insurance I need. Horizon Transport requires you to carry Un-laden insurance to cover their rear when you are running empty back to the lot and I get that. But what insurance do i need to carry on my truck? Do I need specific commercial insurance, and if so does it have to cover the trailer? Any help is much appreciated! I've talked to Progressive Commercial and they were unsure. Also what company do you use and/or reccomend me inquiring with? Thank you for your content and your time. Peace.
@motozayeАй бұрын
@@mtnbound first of all I appreciate you politeness! Second, I just have the unladen liability and my regular everyday truck insurance. No commercial insurance was required. I leased on to synergy💪🏽
@mtnboundАй бұрын
For sure man, thanks for the response! So if the trailer gets damaged while in transport, or at your house before you take it to the destination, does the un-laden insurance that the company requires cover it? Or does it require you to make a claim on your truck insurance (if damaged while in transit) or your homeowners (if damaged at your house due to hail or storm damage)? I talked with the recruiter at HT and they didn't seem to know but said I must specify with my insurance carrier that I needed commercial insurance for my truck, but then didn't specify what coverages or coverage limits I would need. And when I spoke to the women at Progressive they didn't know either, they just gave me the old "more coverage is better" speech.

@@mtnbound unladen covers the trailer I believe but don’t get me lying🤣 I just bought what they told me to buy lol
@mtnboundАй бұрын
Hahaha! Awesome buddy, I appreciate it. I figured I was over thinking it. I usually do. Makes sense that the the un-laden would cover the trailer no matter what insurance you carry. That way they never get caught out. Thanks again for your input and your content. Your positive attitude and outlook on things is encouraging. Safe travels out there my friend!
