There both great products to use. I've used VP2050 for over two years, for CRE321 only used a handful of times when it wasn't available. There known as epoxy hybrid high build primer is the reason you can sand it! Nice to see someone else using it, great videos!

Thanks the comment and for watching. It's the best stuff. Nothing else I've tried does what those 2 products do

@@hickeyskustomresto I agree, it's nice to use knowing that it seals the metal and you can block it out in one shot especially of it being high build. Hopefully soon I'll get my shop up and running towards the end of summer. I plan using VP2050 on my 92 s10 when I rebuild it

VP2050 isn't easily available in my area, this stuff is about the only good replacement in my opinion. Thanks for watching

Can this product be wet sanded or is only dry sanded? When I was a body shop guy 30+ years ago we did everything wet. Warm water and a little Dawn soap to limit dust and the soap kept the paper cleaner and washed away the oil from your kin, at least that was what I was told. Getting ready to start work on a 1951 5 window truck. This is the primer I was told to use.

@@JamesBaker-g1w absolutely. In fact they encourage it stating that with a touch of soap in the water it helps wash off the cut material and keep your paper and surface clean. Best primer series I've ever ised

@@hickeyskustomresto I have a lot of Dynacorn reproduction parts, It came with EDP primer on all of them. What is your opinion on priming and using filler over the EDP? Some people say its okay, some not. Getting primer out of every small crack and crevice would be almost impossible. What about the length of time came the primer be on the panels before paint. I have read 5 days and I won't have everything ready for paint working on it a couple hours a day over the winter. My plan was to prep the bed panels one at a time and prime all of them the same day, then work on the cab. Paint would all take place over a couple of days. I can't prime and paint all of it withing 5 days. I was thinking over 5-6 months.

@JamesBaker-g1w if it's blocked and sanded it can be painted later anytime, I always give it a final sand and clean right before paint. As for the edp coating, some seem tough and hard to get off and are likely fine, some of the cheaper no name stuff will flake or disintegrate as soon as you start sanding, it's a judgement call, safest is to remove but of it's on too good it'll likely be fine.

@@hickeyskustomresto Thanks for the information. My previous sheet metal from the same company has held paint for 20 years. This seems as good I have been welding up some holes and using a Rolac 120 grit disks to remove the coating and it sticks pretty well. Today I pulled a bunch of stickers off the metal using a heat gun and Klean Strip to get the glue off and it didn't remove any or discolor the paper towels. Hopefully I don't have to remove it. I have a hood, front fenders, front and rear splash panels, complete bed, running boards and some other parts to paint.
