The energy of the 90s is so unique. You had to have grown up in it to know how amazing it really was. It was fun growing up as the internet came into widespread usage. The TV commercials just sound so much happier than what you hear today. Like, genuinely happier. Not cheesy or fake. These people aren't "trying to be happy," everything just WAS happy. Games and fun were everywhere. Am I the only one that saw things things this way?

Nah. The 90s felt like literal speed, bro LMFAOOO. Just look at how the commercials were of a kid LITERALLY spinning his head with all them damn cartoon sound effects and the “WHOAAAAAAA”. The 90s (particularly late 90s) had a real “cartoon in real life” vibe to it and it’s more than likely the reason I’m on pills now LMFAOOOO

Everything has gotten sadder because we're adults now and are more aware of things like politics, taxes, working, etc. It's all perspective and personal experience at the end of the day, though.

I was born in January 1990. It was indeed a happier time, but I also remember the 90's being gritty. In 1994, I recall Nine Inch Nails was all over MTV, I was playing Contra 3 and Super CastleVania 4, and in AJPW wrestling (All Japan) people like "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Kenta Kobashi were literally dropping people on their heads. The gritty trend continued into the late 90's, but with a lot more colorful-ness added than the grunge mid 90's. Colorful gritty things like Marilyn Manson, the WWF Attitude Era, and fps/survival horror games. At the same time, despite his persona & sometimes depressing lyrics (like his song Tourniquet), Manson's concerts he treated them like a crazy party with everyone having fun. Thankfully, I had my Dad and Mom with me, hehe.

I was born June '93 and I legit have chills watching this. The nostalgia hits heavy. Being a kid in the 90's was really something special - where we actually enjoyed life and the simpler things. Not all of this social media and talk about disease, war and civil unrest. If I had one wish, it would be to revisit or even live in this era.

I was born in 82, so my entire childhood was the 80s and 90s. I definitely loved the 90s more because kids programming had, in my opinion, hit its peak then. Nick took over the genre and my sister and i loved every minute. Nicktoons, Nick game shows, and Nick movies were the best. Disney had amazing cartoon series, too (Gargoyles, Gummie Bears, Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, etc). But I'll admit that Nick stole most of our attention. 💜 I'm so happy that that i grew up then. The very last decade before the internet became mainstream and cell phones were only owned by the wealthy in most cases.

Oh shit, that WAS Paul Rudd in the video game commercial! I was born in '85. This transported me back to such simpler and magical times. It's like we were on the verge of something, but we didn't know what it was going to be. This also brought me back to lamb chops, Flintstone vitamins, and I am stuck on band-aids cuz germs don't stick on me! I miss ABC's TGIF lineup, and S'nick on Saturdays. All That and Are You Afraid of The Dark were my favorites. There was also a show called Ghostwriter that was really good. Disney used to do concerts. Ahhh, what I'd give to go back...

I'm always shocked by how many of my fellow 90s kids don't know/remember zoombinis, I feel such sadness for them, the best in-school game ever. We had that and Connections (I was the kid everyone came to for that one, that's not a brag lol)

When I see old popular commercials like K'nex, it's weird to see them as an adult because all these little moments of clarity happen. My siblings and I would ask our parents for K'nex but they were among the pricer toys, like Legos kinda. So we weren't Legos/K'nex kind of kids. Our parents would say things like "those are toys for rich people". As a kid, you just take it as the understanding that "we don't have the kind of money it takes to buy this". But you're just a little kid. You don't realize it that you're low key processing it as "these toys are for rich kids, therefore I don't deserve to play with them/I shouldn't play with this because I am not a rich kid". I understand that our parents didn't intend to cause any damage with those kinds of statements. They just meant that the price is too much for toys. But you really dont catch how far that mentality goes with you until later in life. It's the same with restaurants. "Dad, can we go to Olive Garden?" "That's where rich people eat." Can we go to the movies? Rich people go to the movies. As a younger man, I would do that. I would think to myself "Man, I can't eat there. That's where rich people eat". Smh. It's crazy how much power as adults we have over the way that children see and experience the world. I am not a father, and perhaps by this point in life, I will never be. But people really need to put care and consideration into how they talk to their children. People really need to water their flowers with sunlight instead of overcasted clouds.

ran on PBS stations starting in 1995. being sold for syndication in the US is why it lasted so long, it made it a lot cheaper to make and earned a pretty penny in merchandising and video sales😎

As a 90s baby, I hate how our predecessors treat our younger kids of today... they treat our kids as if they can get hurt by 1 mph/kph winds... I hate the barrier between nations and I hate the infighting between us. We have everything but we suffer from success today and we can't handle the fact that its our turn to lead our future generations because they're our children of today. A message to my younger generations like Gen z and gen alpha: I'm sorry, young ones, for robbing you of your future and I take full accountability of my selfishness as a 90s baby and millennial. We let you down so hard its unfathomable that we haven't already destroyed the world and we are doing to you what our boomer ancestors did to us growing up. But if you heed my voice and hear my pleas, understand that I have not forgotten that your futures are important. I'm just too weak to be one of many to try and change people who can't change and value money and materialism over the lives of everyone... I'm sorry for being worthless... and selfish and weak...

You know what I am a father of 3 kids and a married man and I know will make sure that a few hours a week I go back to “being a kid”‘which pretty much just means I am gonna do me the way I want to. When you were a kid you just did whatever made you happy no matter what and now that I am an adult I need/want that back and damn it I’m gonna make it happen!
