As a DJ of over 30 years obviously I know music and likely more than most. It takes big balls to even attempt covering Brad Delp of Boston let alone this particular song. Your voice is unique and you carried the notes quite well. This was very well done and you should be proud of yourself!!!

Well, MOSTLY live. But I have no issues with resinging a line or word or massaging the stuff after I sing it. So I would have to say that for MOST of my vocal things, they are not RAW live (untouched) but say... 90 to 95% live. I do a few little touch ups so the only way you can say it's 100% live is if I pull up all these in Reaper and see if I did NO EDITS to it at all and that is usually not the case. Just wanted to be clear on that. :) If I do resing a line, I try to keep my timing the same so it doesn't look like an edit. A few songs are lip sync because I just sang them w/o filming then I thought why not sing it it anyway? Those are w/o headphones so you know those are lip sync but I do a good job even so. :) thx!

I Love me some BOSTON but imop there are WAY too many AWESOME bands to say Boston is the "Best of all time"......for one, they didnt have enough material to rate that title. I'd say The Who or Beatles or Stones or even Zeppelin or Aerosmith deserve that title MUCH more!!
@margix1172
@margix1172 5 жыл бұрын
@@motorcitymanman7711 Yes they just have 3 GOOD albums but the way that they are played is superior to all the bands you have cited. Tom Scholz is a genius, The Who Beatles and Zeppelin are immense and variegated but Aerosmith and Stones are rock n'roll bands nothing more.

@@margix1172 Other than Tom Scholtz "The Who" for instance are more talented at every position......and really Pete Townshend is much more accomplished than Tom ever was. I agree The Stones were never all that......But.....they are a more accomplished band than Boston. 3 good albums?? Id say only Boston and Dont Look Back were really good.......whats the 3rd one in your opinion?? BTW.....Aerosmiths "comeback" or 2nd life in the 90s was a pretty good feat and seldom done by bands. Oh, one more thing about Scholtz, hes a more accomplished producer/engineer than he is guitarist imop.

@@motorcitymanman7711 Pete Townshend is a great rhythm guitar player but he has not neither a inch of the skills Tom Scholz have. Try to play some Boston tracks and you will find that he is an immense guitar player ( from the minute 16:00 kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6OtYaukjduSf7M.) The third great album from oston is...THIRD STAGE maybe the best of them all with lots of incredible guitar parts and sounds. Boston should record another REAL rock album before they die ,this would help to give them the credit they deserves.

yep. I have a low voice so I just bring the tune down during recording, try to keep my voice a little fatter, then pitch it all up again. Works ok. Better than not singing it at all. :)
