My first "RC car" was a Beetle, except it wasn't wireless, but had a tether connected to the car for steering and speed control. I agree this one looks really neat

Yes, it's strange that the licencing deal fell through. Mind you, it's still hugely desirable. They've made it much more so by getting the look just right and by locking the rear diff, so it spins up both rears at once and flicks around nicely. And having the diff locked opens up a world of possibilities for outdoor fun by greatly helping with traction, as you pointed out, Phil. What a great example of good design!

A MUST. Then I’ll The the VW bus. Then I’ll have all 4 models. These are simply great when used with there limits. Probably the perfect indoor RC’s.

That’s a cool little car! I’d get a white one and do a herby livery on it for a herby replica. And yea would be awesome to have a slick concrete track and have a race class for this lol.

That is just awesome! I always wanted one, but the one from FMS is just too much for just a little bit of fun. This one is just the right price for a good amount of features.

There has to be a Herby one! This RC is currently on sale on Banggood for about 34 Euro. It looks really great, although i'm not a fan of Volkswagen. Imagine them releasing a Citroen 2CV, Fiat nuova 500, Morris Minor, Renault R4, Mini, Trabant or even a Lada. Or Fiat Panda, Renault Twingo, ... I would definitely buy the 2CV, 500 and Lada, if the price stays around 30 Euro.

Whoever thought a stock Beetle could drift and do doughnuts. I might get this one and the van from WPL. I say that because WPL has great service. I already have a couple of their trucks.
