yeah i got one of the chinese made metroexpress one and its pretty great. roasted maple neck and pau fero fingerboard. same eletronic but no VTC and the pickup seems fairly similar. my only complain would be the quality control as the trussrod was really really tight i had to do a full turn to give some relief and the G saddle all the way down give me 1.5mm action at 12 fret which i know can get even lower as i don't have any fretbuzz or "sizzle", i could probably go to 1.3 or 1.2mm. i'm satisfied now but maybe i will shim the neck in the future. you also have deadspot on the C note on the G string but its something that you will find in any fender like instrument even at 4 time the price. but for a thousand buck it is still the closest i got to a peavey cirrus or even ken smith sound.
