Those last welds are better looking then my long welds great job

You can run a weld along the edge of each piece, then bridge those two welds together to make it one solid weld. Or you can start on the top piece and then drag the weld down across the gap to the lower piece .

it looks good. you did the right thing buying a machine and praticing on your own rather than taking classes at community college 👍

Very nice, that last weld is the best one yet. invest in an angle grinder and flap discs. clean your metal and your welds will look even better.

No problem, buddy I would suggest finding material with no rust. I’ll have a pile ready for you when you come over.

There's no slag with flux core wire. Just need a wire bristle brush like a BBQ grill brush to clean it up. Or a wire wheel 🙃
@andrewbradstreet4218Ай бұрын
I also much prefer to run t-11 wire, as opposed to any GS types. Much stronger, and you can run multi pass with it as well. Blue demon is a good brand, or Lincoln nr211. Blue demon you get twice as much for the money tho

WELDING!!!
@andrewbradstreet4218Ай бұрын
Try stepping straight forward an back, not wildly, but a cadence still. And you'll be doing yourself a favor to break off the end of the wire at the tip, before you start each weld. Then set ur ctwd and start the weld. Stick out, some folks call it. Should be right around a half inch. But seriously first thing I'd do, sir, is get a set of sleeves, fr rated, an you won't be burning up ur arms at all lol

And do look at how much wire u have sticking out of the tip when ur done with a weld, to make sure you're staying consistent while you're traveling. Not trying to be a know it all, that's solid advice. Anyone says otherwise doesn't know squat lol

My suggestion is just get yourself a gas bottle in 75/25 and some standard wire .030 or 0.035 and never look back. Your welds will be so much cleaner and better and visibikity when welding is heaps better. And if you dont already have any, some cheap brand 4 inch and 5 inch angle grinders, set up with the 4 most common discs; grind, thin cut off, flappy grind, and wire wheel. You can just grab the one you need without swapping discs. You can buy a cheap (but decent) angle grinder for $30.
