If something like this could potentially risk them loosing their income because they went against their policy of course they would be hesitant to let them in without verify everything. They were actually being very lenient here. If you are looking to bring in equipment into any stadium in the UK then you need accreditation (aka, it needs to be cleared with the stadium security in advance). They were showing tickets, but tickets aren't accreditation. Whoever was managing it for them should have contacted London Stadium before they arrived and arranged for a register of items (list of items such as camera equipment, etc) to be accepted at entry and the items would have been put through a scanner. But if you roll up without doing that, then in most cases they'll tell you that you can either get rid of the equipment and go in without it, or turn around and leave. But when they start shouting about it at the security that isn't really going to help them either, usually security would just call the police to have someone escorted out the moment somebody starts behaving like that and police would book them on a public disorder charge, so yeah the fact that didn't happen underlines that the security were being very lenient here lol.

For me, this wasn't even a Security/Staff L,it's a WestHam L. The PL is so strict on clubs allowing cameras in the stadiums, so for me, WestHam should have made it very clear to security/staff that there would be people with cameras filming and for this event/match it is more than fine for people to be filming in the stadium.

It's so people can't bring in improvised bombs into stadiums. This will just be a miscommunication issue, really their security should have contacted the stadium ahead of them arriving and arranged their entry. Not sure if that was explained to them beforehand though but typically there would be a specific way for them to enter the stadium if they were looking to take equipment in with them. But yeah, the stadium security here are just doing their jobs.
