Obama refused to help black people in his 8 years in office. On making policies to specifically help black people, he said America doesn’t work like that. However, he had the country pay $12M to Holocaust survivors. On the question of reparations for the defendants of African slaves, he said it would be too difficult to do. Obama was 8 years of garbage. Having him speak at my school was a disgrace. Morehouse used to stand for something, but now it just falls for anything. The many changes in policies is evidence in that. The identity of the school has been stripped.

This speech just changed my life in these short 30 mins. I've been making so many accomplishments in these few years I started to become relaxed not working as hard as I usually do to continue forward. This speech made me remember my drive to proceed getting back on track and becoming the man, father, and future husband I need to be, thank you Barack Obama.

President Barack Obama's election in 2008 inspired me to enroll in college, Berkeley College, and set a good example for my family, society, and the youth. I'm all about higher education and the exclusive knowledge and skills you gain from it because I want to reach my full potential and be much more than the usual dreams of being a basketball player or rapper. My dreams are the next the C.E.O., or maybe even President of the United States. CONGRATULATION MOREHOUSE CLASS OF 2013

It's 2022 and I really miss President Obama. It was nice having a leader who spoke with eloquence and carried himself with Presidential bearing and dignity, yet with a sense of self effacing humor and relatable humanity. My fear is that he was the last of the line and we won't have another gentleman scholar as President again.

@@clarkjames6349 it’s not wrong. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for people to be honest about Obama’s upbringing. Hawaii is great but it’s the furthest from mainstream North American culture. He was raised by whites and Asians and wasn’t exposed to African American culture on a significant basis until adulthood.
@MsFlamingFlamer6 ай бұрын
@@clarkjames6349 I just checked Hawaii’s census from 2020. 37.2% Asian; 25.3% Multiracial; 22.9% White; 10.8% Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders; 9.5% Hispanic and Latinos of any race; 1.6% Black or African American; 1.8% from some other race; and 0.3% Native American and Alaskan Native. What black churches would he have been going to as a kid?
@MsFlamingFlamer6 ай бұрын
@@clarkjames6349 Barack’s Indonesian is more authentic than any African American affectations he might do. He actually spent 4 years of his childhood in Indonesia and is fluent with the language. He didn’t get to Chicago until he was done with college. He now lives in one of the whitest and wealthiest areas of the US (Martha’s Vineyard). Yet so many African Americans want to pretend he’s just like us just because of how he looks.

Interesting that you should pick those two segment, because there are perfect BLINDERS for what is said in between them. The segment in between highlights the history of disproportionate pain Blacks have suffered, and the acknowledgment of the Pres that his actual policy is not to take disproportionate action to CORRECT the wrongs to make it right You think a Jewish President would/could take their people for granted like this?
