SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS WOMAN AND THE BAND. All these years later, and she still lifts my spirits and makes me feel good about things. I am forever grateful. 🌹

I agree! I may be in a wheelchair now because of my bad knees but I just LOVED slam-dancing in the mosh pits at my favorite punk clubs back in Chicago in the 1980s. Great times!!! I saw her in concert twice plus the Creatures with her and Budgie. I just love her music and voice. (ALSO her wonderful eye make-up!)

Damn, she is still the absolute Queen. Amazing. The whistle she did right before the music means something to the Israelis, its a warning signal , a call that enemies are near.

Gross. Joy Division wanna be's. No wonder I never heard of "Siouxsie" until they were has-been. Their name is some offensive as well to certain people I'm sure. Joy Division, now that's an offensive name I can stand by. Better music. Better band. Better Lead singer by far. 🤘
@jimosmond2082 Жыл бұрын
U talk shit
@andrewphippsphillips1455 Жыл бұрын
How's your lead singer doing? 42years now? Joy Division couldn't even play their instruments, Sumner/Albrecht now spends most of his time bitching about other acts, he can't fucking sing and never could. They themselves couldn't spot all the signs about Curtis, the depression and suicidal thoughts written down in JD lyrics and their bassist is a narcissistic c**t and a bully. Oh and their promoter was a deluded, self important wanksock.... In the end, one lead singer has had an illustrious and prosperous career that she has done well from, keeps herself to herself, living in comfort but modestly, the other is persistently mourned by people who think they know him and who would shudder to see the glib, beige, middle-class supported sack of crap that mutated from a band who were held together entirely by a guy with serious mental health and neurological problems....

How John McGeochs guitar splits the air with that ethereal jangling crescendo is like a black art passed down from the Gods. Love the way he starts as though the spirits have been summoned and have spoken 😂 The Budgie/Severin Rhythm machine sets off that lead guitar and Siouxsies famous powerful and haunting vocal style so beautifully. Goosebumps, never gets old, arguably their greatest song.

if im correct it's definitely written partially (if not fully) as a criticism, with the references to war and orphans in the snow and whatnot
