@@joshuarick1281 i can explain but it might sound a little long winded. when creating a lego machine, there a 3 (or 4) really important critera that you need to achieve. the first one is functionality and adaptability: any non-lego product used in the machine needs to synergise with the lego parts. this can be done by purposefully using or modding lego parts to help you achieve this, and itll be specific to YOU, the person making the machine. the second would be the mechanism. self explanatory, but i can explain the mechanism specifically in this guy's machine. he has the space where the m&ms and skittles are in two separate, distinct, unmoving areas. both mechanisms involve 2 levers each. the lever to transport the coin, and the lever that uses the coin to move, hence delivering the candy in the process. however he did combine the levers to transport the coin for each type of candy, you can see how in the video. this guy managed to intersect the two mechanisms without them interfering with each other, this is because of the final criteria, which is logistics. the guy in the video made the machine big enough, first of all, to fit both mechanisms in them and secondly, he made areas for numerous fail safe methods, e.g. the bars stopping the coin if the lever is pushed in, the ramps on the bottom of the machine allowing the coins to be collected in the tray. these precautions help the machine to not break or jam. TL;DR: mechanism - one lever to control the coin put in whichever coin slot, and two separate levers controlled by the coin itself for each type of candy being transported along the machine to the delivery tray.
