He tried to guess lazars role and he guessed wrong so he died. Lazar was the morphing and the guesser on the imposter team. He guessed Deji’s role which was engineer. Simon literally revealed his role at the end which was tracker because he thought the guesser had just killed himself and he was safe. The guy he thought was the guesser wasn’t the guesser from the imposter team. It was the juggernaut who for some reason can also guess roles. Remember juggernaut is neutral. He could have killed Viz who was an Imposter right after Viz killed in front of him.
