Skarner is pretty much the overprotective father who won't let his child see the world. It's not the worst lore but he used to be the last of his kind and was constantly on a search for his family whos consciousness was trapped in piltover technology which WOULD HAVE WORKED for new skarner if they didnt make him so massive and didn't want it to be tied to Arcane.

with all the shit that happened with seraphine's release, i'm not surprised riot is retconning the whole "piltover is run on bracken crystals" thing. you make one misstep with that storyline and people will actually hunt you down.

Star Guardian....KD/A....there are already like a dozen league "canons" and that is fine. Nothing is wrong with it. If they wish for it in the mmo, there can just be portals to the other dimensions, worlds, or whatever. They do it in wow and dozens of other mmos and it works just fine. Limiting your lore for the sake of consistency is how you get the original league lore, which they stepped away from SPECIFICALLY because it was limiting and a pain in the ass to fit everything into this small "every champ has to be in the League" crap. How do you design around every champ fighting in a tournament style thing when they are invaders from other realities and pop stars and universe dragons and shit? You don't, so they stopped doing it. How do you design funny side stories with all sorts of goofy crap from a billion different genres in one consistent universe? You don't, so they aren't. It is all in how you choose to have the different lore shit interact. Yeah, it makes zero sense for pop stars to be IN Zaun or Gentleman Cho'gath be roaming Ionia, but it makes perfect sense for Piltover to create gates to other realities for example. It is consistent and works to expand rather than limit the story. Obviously, the more moving parts and different stories you add, the harder it gets to keep it from getting goofy, but at least currently, they seem to be doing okay enough with it.
