Cuba was confusing a few years ago having the local people's peso (CUP) and the tourist convertible peso (CUC).

For some reason the Dong didn’t bother us but in a recent trip the Colombian peso was a challenge. Especially when their ATM have high fees and low maximum.

In iran in everyday use people even drop more zeros As you said 500,000 rial is considered 50,000 tuman But people normaly drop 3 more zeros and it becoms "50 tumans".

in albania we add a zero to the prices for example at the bakery 1 kg of bread costs 100 lek the cashier will tell you it is 1000 lek but you need to pay 100, for foreigners when a price is written e.g. 450 lek they are asked to pay 450 to don't get confused, we will be asked for 4500 lek, but we will still pay 450, this is a story from 1965, when it was a year when the banknotes changed, where in that period old and new lek were used together, where 10 old lek corresponded to 1 new!

Cambodia has to be on here, they have a dual currency. You pay for something in US dollar’s then get change in Cambodian money which has inflation! Crazy to work out when your there

You should check Argentina. We have like 5 different types of dólar 😂. One for tourist, one for purchases in credit card, and the list goes on, we even have one called Coldplay Dólar and Qatar Dólar lol

I have 1.1M Uzbekistani som, 2.4M Vietnamese dong, 31.70 Kuwaiti dinars, 61.5M VEF, and 4.3M Iranian rials. Bruh, I feel like a millionaire just bcz of inflation except kuwait.

Yes, the old currency with the billions and trillions was taken out of circulation. But a few years later, a new Zimbabwe dollar was introduced, then hyperinflated again... And this year, the new ZiG - Zimbabwe Gold - currency was put into circulation.

You should try Haiti. The currency is the Haitian Gourde (US$1 = ~ 141 HTG). But, years ago the currency used to be tied to the dollar, US$1 = 5 HTG. So now they will transact in "Haitian Dollars," a fictional currency that doesn't even really exist where 5 Haitian Gourdes is 1 Haitian Dollar (A 100 Haitian Gourde note is 20 Haitian Dollars, etc). It makes things extremely confusing because sometimes people will also use US Dollars. Say, for example, I want to buy a sack of rice at the local street market. If the vendor says "100 Dollars," she means 500 Haitian Gourdes. They've been doing this for so long that they don't even have to think about it. They see a 500 Gourde note as a 100 Haitian Dollar note. 20 years ago even grocery stores would list priced in Haitian Dollars. The government finally had to step in and demand prices be listed in Haitian Gourdes, but in the streets the Haitian Dollar is still very commonly used.
