Morgan 3 Wheeler Test Drive Video Review

Chances are your Grandparents will recognize this vehicle before you do! That's because the Morgan 3 Wheeler has been around since the early 1900's. No though this cool cross between a motorcycle and a roadster has been updated and upgrade with 21st Century technology. The basic elements are still true to form: 2 wheels up front, a drive wheel out back, engine, and a gearbox. Speaking of the engine, this unit is made by S&S Cycle which is responsible for producing V-Twin motors for Harley Davidson. This open cockpit auto drives amazing!

Do you have to wear a helmet in the US, as everywhere else and even the nanny state of the UK, you can drive it without. Just in just sun glasses and it feels Amazin ?? !!

Each State has their own laws regarding these 3-wheelers. I live in South Carolina and helmets are not required for any motor vehicles, including 2-wheeled motorcycles. Most states do require helmets, but some are revising their laws to accommodate vehicles like the Morgan 3. In one or more States, if you have proper seat belts, you can drive without a helmet. It's a mish-mash.

It's classed as a car in the UK so they can charge higher road tax, I pay as much road tax for my Morgan 3 wheeler as I would for a Range Rover.

Worth vs price charged is always a thing. You can build one from a motorcycle for tons less. & I don't mean from a kit. I mean a secondhand bike, & obviously other materials, with how-to info online.

Remember a 2CV-based 3-wheeler in Middlesbrough (UK) about 25 years ago, wonderful device built (it was a kit) by someone working at the local hospital. Pity it meant one less 2CV on the road though (my first and favourite car).
