I worked at Starbucks for 3 years in my early 20’s and couldn’t stand the corporate culture. Was one of the best baristas in my region skill and time wise. Gave free shit and discounts constantly. The customers loved me and my managers love-hated me 😂. My “I’m out” day was when a shift manager pulled me aside to be tell me she didn’t feel I “smiled genuinely enough” when working a till, and my “pants weren’t a close enough shade colour to the napkins” (yes that was a legit thing back in the early 2000’s Starbucks days). I also had to take out my nose piercing every shift. Look at Starbucks now lollll…..
