It’s a push towards consuming more American products. It’s a push we need. If people have less to spend, they will think before buying, and throwing things away that can be repaired. Sure short term debt will rise as stupid people figure out how to either make more money, or live more responsibly. But we will be better off down the line doing everything we can to increase production at home, and changing mindsets from consumers to producers. You think as a country we will just be able to sit around and work office jobs while the rest of the world produces our stuff for us? We argue with ourselves about how many genders there are, and you think this country will be able to produce enough work for its citizens without producing any products? I don’t care how much intellectual property rights these companies think they have. Others will just steal it and sell it in their home countries anyways. Chinas been doing it for decades. We need our companies to stop producing over seas.

Economist are often times incorrect: economics is not a hard and fast science simply because: 1. The perception and reality of events are often incongruent as spins or manipulation of events and the actual significance differs 2. Two things may be correct at the same time: seasonal employment may go down thereby reducing employment numbers while the loss of jobs is nonexistent/ near zero 3. A combination of multiple actions may yield vastly different outcomes during different applications: Tariffs in county may (for better or worse) yield drastically different outcomes 4. Human emotion plays a huge role in economic standing: Great depression, fear, etc

What do you recommend regarding migrants when we take in $4.4 trillion in taxes and spend $6.2T or more on expenses? Based on what is taken in from taxes we can afford four budget items and need to remove EVERYTHING ELSE. We can afford 1) Social Security payments 2) Medicare payments 3) Medicaid payments (this budget went up exponentially after Obama Care was passed) and finally the military. (I still don't understand the Obama Care commercials that people pay $0 or $10 a month when low income school bus drivers pay $400 per month for their health insurance the the county pays $1,100 for the remaining premium payment.) We need to cut over 80% of all programs that currently existing in the US and it isn't fair to immigrants to come to a country that has absolutely no means to take care of them ---- NO MEANS whatsoever. The US will file bankruptcy if we do not make major cuts to spending NOW and once we file bankruptcy, there will be chaos throughout the country. America will become a third-world country if we don't pay our debts.

Globalization in a actual free market allows for competitive advantage. Meaning each country exports what they are best at making, and imports what they aren't. Deglobalization means you have to pay more for things your country doesn't produce, so its inflationary, and leads to less growth.
@heww39602 күн бұрын
No, or at least not full deglobalize . However no outsourcing, and stop meddling with other countries affairs, and only do strictly business deals, and dont care what they do in their country. Many times it feels like western countries dont care about the actually business side and only care about how they can impact that countries politics. End UN and the world bank, stop giving money to other countries no matter what the reason is, every country on their own. But free trade otherwise, that benefit everyone.

I know there some but the majority of illegal immigrants are not working. They're spending. And there are a few I'm not sure how many immigrants who have overstayed their work or school visa and are still somehow employed by legal means like they haven't left their current job and their employer hasn't looked at their Visa status. So those would hurt. But the main thing is ice is going to focus on the criminals and immigrants who have been denied asylum already. That's the 1.w million number.

Precisely why Trump won is economics. Keystone got shut down, energy cost went up. Bookmark this comment and check back in 1 year, virtually everything will be cheaper: the US is a huge landmass: when it costs more to move goods, prices increase.
@detraed89624 күн бұрын
@@blakeblocke3679 It's not just energy that caused inflation though..that's why I dont think energy will be the cure. Inflation is way more complex than Trump understands. The supply chain was a mess and there are still issues with it today...plus lets not forget the amount of people who died from covid which impacts the global production, it's very complex..all of this. I will give you an example you can have all the oil in the world but if you don't have enough workers to produce something at lower prices or if companies can only produce so much out put to meet the demand prices will go up regardless of how much oil costs. it's not just about energym it's about production labor costs etc. Trump will learn that the hard way. Labor costs tends to be higher than energy costs for businesses. Trumpeconomics isn't mathing. Maybe if there had been more presidential debates this issue would have been aired out more. Now instead you have people electing people without understanding the true impacts of his policies. The political system simply is terrible these days imo.
@blakeblocke36794 күн бұрын
@@detraed8962 I agree with your point that Trump (and frankly, all of us including myself) underestimate the complexity of inflation. There are many contributing factors [namely reduced buying power which can be simplified to gain / $, increased money supply, interest rate manipulation, subsidized industry, failed initiatives, energy, war, price gouging, and thousands more]. My point was I (and apparently Trump) believe ONE way to reduce inflation is to simply decrease one input [energy cost] simply because it is controllable (unlike war, what the FED does, etc) by using our own resources opposed to buying foreign energy.
@JaakSparrow4 күн бұрын
@@detraed8962 you are crazy he’s got access to way more information not to mention advisors and resources you and I don’t have. The biggest problem with inflation is bad spending and budgeting as a country. He intends to rebuild America first that will be a huge difference from the current administration. Tariffs would also play a big role and I’m sure Trump and his cabinet picks which includes billionaires, businessmen, ex military,etc. will steer us in a much better direction to combat inflation.
