If you check the credits, Morgan doesn’t write a vast majority of his songs. Songwriters WANT him to sing their songs because he take the song to levels they never could. Hardy, Ernest and Ashley are amazing song writers and have made absolute hits with the help of Morgans vocals.

The black square is a film overlay! In actual film, there are a bunch of little black squares that go around a gear inside the camera to move to the next frame. It's just a trendy effect. Hope this helps!

I believe that black square is meant to make it look like old film recordings. There was a cutout between each frame in the film and when you play the reel back through a projector that cutout becomes visible as that square. Someone correct me if I'm wrong tho
