team jessica always. as someone who deals with mental illness, it was always so satisfying to see jessica stand up for herself and push back against narrow-minded misconceptions about her and viki's struggle. natalie never understood it and always waited until jessica was ill to swoop in and try to destroy her life. i get so angry every time natalie says "is this when crazy comes out?" like it's voluntary or some kind of joke. jessica was completely justified here.

I myself have DID and completely agree. This show helped me realize that I was misdiagnosed and I got in touch with a therapist that has been a godsend in recent years. Integration is very difficult and the writers on this show did such an amazing job portraying the struggles and difficulties of having Dissociative Identity Disorder which is clinched perfectly by both Bree and Erika's performances as Jess/Tess and Viki/Nikki respectively

I would also like to say I was a "Jody" fan. Actually I hated this whole mess in the first place. Brody was such a good guy for Jess and really loved her; D.I.D. or not, I thought it was so left field for him to fall head over heels for Natalie and not show an inkling of concern for Jessica. They made it all about Liam and completely ruined his character. I liked his friendship with John who didn't really have any male buddies that were peers once Michael and Antonio left the show. Sucks.

Marty blames Natalie for putting Cole in jail because of killing someone (I can’t remember who) and the reason Cole killed someone is cause he thought Starr and Hope was killed. Marty blames Natalie for sleeping with John, stealing John and having a baby with John which Marty was suppose to have (a child with John). Natalie stole/took everything from Marty, so Marty decided to switch Natalie’s paternity test since she found out that Natalie slept with Brody! Marty is a Psycho Bitch and messed with Natalie’s , John’s, Jessica’s, Brody’s and Liam’s life all so she can Claim John! She figures if Brody was the Father of Natalie’s Baby then she can have John since Brody would have Natalie. Marty set everything in motion! I blame Marty for everything and that’s why Jessica became Tess and Natalie ended up with Brody! Hell, Marty wouldn’t let anyone stand her way, she tried to kill Kelly(because John and Kelly slept together after the disaster Wedding of John/Natalie, Jessica/Brody) and Natalie, just to get John back!

I love Natalie to pieces but I was Team Jessica and Team John during this storyline I was happy that finally Jessica stopped being so fragile and stood up for herself; I wish they wrote her like this more instead of being so gentle. I don't want her to be Tess but this Jessica is more well rounded and more in touch with her anger without going nuts and turning into someone else at the drop of the hat. Ron Carlivati dragged out her D.I.D. too long and finally made her act like a normal woman scorned only for the show to get cancelled. I really didn't like how Natalie was written during this timeframe especially since what Jessica said was true, it was all a kneejerk reaction to her not being able to be with who she really wanted. Well she could have been if she gave it time like Viki said. . But it's certainly not uncommon on soaps for sisters to fight over a man. Seen it a gazillion times.

I just wish that they had allowed Jessica to be angry and deal with the initial fall-out. The DID angle made it really difficult for me to completely sympathize with her especially because the writers couldn't decide whether Jessica was using the alters to act out for her or if she was completely at the mercy of her illness and would have her contradict herself on that subject from episode to episode.

One thing I can’t stand is how self righteous Jess is, like she never seems to be the one at fault for these situations. People treating her as if she’s this perfect yet fragile person. People who automatically jump to Jess’s defense need to stop being so biased and just picking one over the other. They both were at faults, neither more than the other. Natalie has her failings but she doesn’t try to consciously be back to that person she was back then. She has been trying to be better.

If Jessica slept with John it would be a whole another story.
