The 200mm twingrip is one of my top 5 hand tools. I’m going to have to get the 150’s to replace my Engineer PZ-58/6.25” Vampliers in my tools bags. The Knipex textured grips are the best.
@MORGANSMaintenanceАй бұрын
I wasn’t sold on the texture at first for cleaning purposes… but they are better for use so they grew on me
@MattHmm-rq6dnАй бұрын
Me too the twin grips were a repayment for my engineer screw removal pliers. It wasn't that the engineer didn't do a better job on that one thing it was the knipex were a better overall for many tasks besides stripped screw heads.
@k1_w3Ай бұрын
@MORGANSMaintenance Yeah, the textured grips are harder to keep clean, but they were my favorite the first time I got my hands on some. I like the regular dipped grips too, but they’re a little slippery sometimes. And the Engineer/Vampliers grips are growing on me, but they don’t seem as durable, and they’re the most difficult to keep clean. We’re living through a golden age of tools right now though, so I can’t really complain about all the choices we have due to brands innovating to compete for market share.
@MORGANSMaintenanceАй бұрын
@k1_w3 I agree on the Golden Age 👍
@k1_w3Ай бұрын
@MattHmm-rq6dn Agreed. I like to carry tools that check off more than one box in my tool bag. The twingrips check off slip-joint pliers and screw removal pliers. Same thing with the Engineer PZ-60’s checking off long nose pliers and screw removal pliers.
