Thanks for reviewing these! I have star aura and I actually really like it. I don't think these are traditional shimmer/metallic shadows. These definitely aren't for bold instagram looks but I think they are SO flattering IRL. "Filter" is a pretty fitting description for it. I get strong "rich, proper english woman" vibes from these shadows. You're spot on when you said they're light weight. They don't sit heavy on the lid, which helps it look much better IRL. I don't think these are must haves, but they're great for everyday or more refined, subtle eye looks.

I agree that in the pans, the CT and Tom Ford look similar. I actually returned the TF because once on the eyes I wasn’t able to get any depth at all. It is so shimmery all the colors blended into one. I much preferred the CT Aura palette. It’s a natural look but I can get the definition on my eye. I love the formula - it seems like a shimmery satin.

I went on a hugeeee rant on my instagram the other day about this @legallybrunettebeauty ! You reposted one of my photos about the Patrick Ta blush and it made me so happy haha. But yeah, I'm a CT addict and this really annoyed me regarding half the product for the same price. What irritated me more was the grams weren't put on the website so you knew before purchasing, and that there wasn't even an explanation as to why that's justified. It's as if CT expected it to go unnoticed which is so shady. I bought the star aura quad and despite all of my Natasha Denonas etc, it works out to be my most expensive palette.... which is insane :( anyway, love your videos and so glad I wasn't the only one quite angry about that haha xxx

Because the quad looks identical to her other quads I just presumed it would be the same value, and I think lots of other people will be fooled the same way. If the grams had been on the website, I wouldn't have bought it! It's a gorgeous quad but completely not worth the money :( I'm still livid about it lol

I see a lot of people not happy with these palettes BUT for some reason I’m in love with the Star ⭐️ Aura Quad! I totally understand it’s frustrating that the price is ridiculous per gram. I don’t own any of her eyeshadow palettes but I’m 99% sure I’m going to get it. I have some gift cards saved up and I got some for Christmas. There’s just something about that specific quad that I love ❤️ I adore the products I own from Charlotte Tilbury it’s probably stupid to purchase this quad as my first CT eyeshadow palette 😬

Great unbiased review! The first frost quad by Tom Ford sold out everywhere in the first week of release in the UK so i sadly missed out. It’s impossible to find anywhere 😢🥺 For this reason i think i will have to pick up the star aura quad 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣💖

I'm so glad I saw this review before I purchased the CT Star Aura palette. I saw it on Sephora and loved the color story because I'm quite fair and I tend to lean towards softer/natural eye looks on the daily, so I knew I would get a lot of use out of the palette. But seeing how it's not the same formulation and it's less grams than the original CT quads all for the same price, I would feel like I was scamming myself to purchase this. Thank you so much for offering an alternative to it because I really do love that color story. ❤️

I really like the CT quads esp the third one that just got released but I see how much they cost in comparison to the product and the reviews and I’m on the fence. They still look beautiful on you so it’s hard to decide. But I love your honesty when you say it’s better to get the TF quad. 😊❤️

I ordered the one that you didn’t get yet.. I loved that copper shade in the second quad but overall, the third quad appealed to me most.. but now that I hear the formulation isn’t as good /or creamy as her other palettes, I’m bummed.. I’ll see if I feel like it’s worth keeping. Thanks!

I was considering these and I leaned more towards the diva quad ... I already own the Tom Ford quad so I def won't be getting the other one ...I also thought the black in the diva quad was more of a deep green ,,,, I have that quad in my beautylish cart as I type this ,,, BUT I will not be buying it as after looking at my four other CT quads I see the grams difference and I'm just not wowed by that color story 🤷🏻‍♀️ money saved ! I will wait and see how the third quad looks and decide if I want it ... thx Morgan for your unbiased and always informative reviews ! Usually gelee formula weigh less then powder because it denser that why it less but it is the same amount just so you know Like for yougurt cup you want to get more frozen yogurt then toppings even though toppings are smaller they weigh more

I love the Roen 11:11 Quad. It’s such a beautiful metallic quad and so much dimension. The texture is so unique. Have you tried it? All 4 shades are stunning one shadow looks.

I was actually considering these palettes but your video made me reconsider buying this. I am a bit disappointed after the increase in quality of her quads in 2020. I was honestly expecting something more... the increase in price per gram is pretty steep and I do hope this is not a sign of what is in store for CT in 2021.... I wish CT would explain the reasoning behind the new price and that she will keep perfecting her new formula and experimenting with new colours.

Happy New Year, Morgan! I couldn’t stop looking at your eyes during the video! The Diva Lights palette really looks fantastic on you! I honestly don’t detect any patchiness at all, although I realize you are more aware of that when you’re applying it. The lip color you’re wearing with it is perfection! I also love the Star Aura palette on you as well! The pigmentation of the brown shadows are definitely deeper on than they appear in the pan, which is a good thing. I originally ordered the Diva Lights palette, and went back and ordered the Star Aura palette because I liked it so much. I’m crazy about Charlotte’s quads as well! I own quite a few of them! What can I say?!😝

When I saw the promo pics for these quads I was obsessed! Thank you so much for this review and the callout of the grams... I'm not impressed with the amount of product honestly... And it's pretty insulting NGL... The formula + the amount for the price doesn't make sense. PML has a superior quality in my opinion and she gives us so much product. Hi Morgan I love your videos, especially about C Tilbury products. I saw the devil eyes, and only the coppery one caught my eyes. It reminds me of the pink/copper you find in the Starry Eyes to Hypnotise palette, in the "love glow " section. In fact I managed to recreate this quad with this colour + plus the champagne colour in the "dream glow" section + the dark brown you can find in the bejweled palette. Do you think I am right ? Grams are a measurement of mass, not volume, so if the formula is more of a gelee formula, I could see how it *might* be the explanation for the smaller gram count for the price. Hopefully CT will address this so we can all have clarification on it!

I like CT but i don’t lose my mind over it. I also don’t like at least one matte in the crease. I don’t agree her formula is so smooth it looks ok in the crease. Maybe ok from a distance but even the pictures on her models, you can see bit of texture that was probably not even there before. I bought star aura and i have several of her other quads but rarely reach for them. Idk, i used to LOVE the brand and the experience of using it. Her prices are so over the top I’ve been liking her less and less.

I like the ct more than the Tom ford first frost bc the tf looks more cool toned with the silver specs (frosty) lol than the ct. I also like the warmer toned dark brown in ct bc the cooler toned dark brown in tf can make my eye look kinda dirty or muddy. Ct is more warmed tone and will look better on my skin tone rather than the cooler toned tf. Really sad it’s less product tho :(

I've been really on the fence about Charlotte Tilbury in general. Just her whole stance on makeup realllly rubs me the wrong way. Theres nothing genuine about her, it's always sell, sell, sell. And her products are just simply not worth the money. I mean c'mon. Her "magic cream"? Its a $100+ jar of repackaged Jergens or Aveeno. It's just a basic moisturizer, theres nothing in it lol. And now blatantly selling less product for more money and advertising it like it's just like all her other quads, is just plain scummy and shady. How gross.
