Deib was supposed to court kim in this episode.. He is head over hills in love with her that he follows her around all the time.. Giving her flowers and stuffs... The Deib in the novel also has an elder sister rather than a brother and Maxpein has an older brother named Maxwell and a younger brother ages 15 named Maxrill in contrast to the serie... And Randall which is Deib competitor in basketball was supposed to be in Maxwell age that has already graduated in pre-med and is currently taking medicine and is in a relationship with Deib's sister and Maxpein ex boyfriend the reason why she is cold but not entirely...Deib was supposed to be playful, naughty and mischieveous...Zarnaih was supposed to be her bestfriend since elementary and together they transfered in that school... Their group of friends was supposed to be composed of 3 girls and 2 guy....Last is Vivoree's role was supposed to be a nerd whose a nobody but the only one that Deib won't prank though he is a pranks king and he pranks every new students because he cares for her that makes her fall in love with him... But I really love this novel though the contrast is so deep and there are so many characters that I love that was cast out in the serie still I am falling in love with it over again. It's just like watching a serie that I am not familiar with and falling in love with it for the first time.😅💜💜💜

This series is very different from HIH from the novel. HIH is a bit of a dark book, especially the third season, where a lot of characters died. There were several storyline twists in the book that I didn't see coming. They removed so much from the book that I'm not sure if this is the same HIH I used to read. I sincerely hope this series continues to be as grim as the novel.

@VoO mAn You misinterpret my explanation of the differences between the novel and the series as a complaint of me. But, to be honest, I'm not a big fan of the series. I saw and understood why certain sequences were cut due to budget constraints. However, they removed far more than I had anticipated. Even the simple iconic moment of Max meeting Deib and Naih is removed.But there's nothing I can do but to support the show. And please don't use a child to explain why such parts were omitted, because there are a number of much darker novels out there than HIH that have successfully continued to be grim when adapted into a film or series. This is an HIH novel, and the series should be dark. It appears that they simply used the name and the excitement to create a new atmosphere for their series.

Even if season one of the novel is on Tagsen's love and connection, you can't ignore that Maxpein lives in a dark environment. As the plot progresses, the story of Maxpein is gradually revealed, and which the series should do. However, it appears that the series is devolving into a standard meteor garden show. If you know the story well, HIH is considerably different from that.

@VoO mAn Yes, it is inspired by the meteor garden, oh my ghad. But, as I already stated, they are distinct. This is HIH, not a meteor garden, because the twist, honey, it's slowly turning into a grim novel. What were you trying to show ba? Because I didn't even mention North Korea. Yes, North Korea is an extremely strict country. So, we can't make a dark series now because of that? Then change country. Accept the fact that instead of the HIH I used to read, it's most likely going to be a meteor garden.
