Is it water resistant??

It doesn't advertise any waterproof rating aside from "External vehicle installation". The one on my personal vehicle has survived several car washes without issue.

always add a light bead of silicone around read of lighting systems where water can get through. It helps even doing it to head lights and fog lights so moister doesn't get through. Use a small syringe like Diabetics use to extract some silicone from a jar or tube and then use it as a silicone spreader like a silicone gun, leaves a much cleaner look and really small bead of silicone that wont make a mess. I do this to all my lighting stuff I don't trust factory ratings plus this method as an additional layer of protection.
