From other videos I've seen, you shouldn't have to take the whole bracket out. You push the tabs in on the white retainers on the back of the lens and push it forward out the front side of the truck. Then push the new one back in. Much easier from what I seen unless this job here has something different about these lenses that I didn't see.

From what I remember (and it’s been a minute) the 14-15 Silverado set up inside was different than the 07-13 and that’s why the housing/bracket all had to come out. There are definitely things I’ve learned since then to make it easier though.

How the heck do i adjust the fogs down once they are installed??
@nFlames2 Жыл бұрын
I replace some was fighting with them then I found out by pulling on the light it pops out. They are easy to replace once they are out. I'm thinking if you can loop some large zip ties around the back of the light spray some lube around & behind the light like silicone lube & pull on the zip ties to get them out. I used some wire to get the ones I pulled out felt like they were going to break then they pop out. There is also an adjustment behind there to aim the lights the retainers have a ball & socket system so it best to lube them so next time they come out easier.

Anyone know where to buy fog light adjustment screws for a 2010 silverado? Doing a fog light delete delete so bought end caps with holes, wiring harness, even these fog lights, but no adjustment screws included so the lights can't be secured at all or adjusted. Ideas?

Great vid, because you seem to like your truck, I have a question for you; I recently got a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 with 50K miles and it looks brand new!, but after reading costumer reviews online I am freaking out and I don’t know if this is a not reliable truck, coming from a Toyota family I never experienced this type of fear. I like the truck, so far the heating seat was not working and the sliding window was broken when I got it from the dealer.., should I give it the chance or should I explore toyota territory. Thanks for any advice.

Jose David Delgado It’s really hard to say. I’ve not had any issues with my truck. Mass manufacturing by default will lead to issues. I’ve owned Toyota and GM products and my experience with both have been exceptional.

Do you have a video with the light on at night ? Are they brighter ?
@LSglock897 жыл бұрын
04bluesilverado I don’t have a video right now but I can work on it. They definitely are brighter and provide a much wider pattern over stock. www.theoutdoorsden.com/single-post/2017/09/12/Morimoto-XB-LED-Fog-Light-Unboxing-and-Install check out that link for some photos.

badbrewsy grille is dipped. After 3 years it’s finally at the point where I’d consider re-doing it.

What if your truck already has fog lights and you just want to replace the bulb with led bulbs
@LSglock896 жыл бұрын
the great Salvador just find the correct bulb and it’s pretty easy to get it swapped out. No tools required, just pop off the clips.
@jasonwoodyard51896 жыл бұрын
If you put a led bulb into a reflective housing like the factory fogs, you’re gonna blind every oncoming vehicle.
@daltonvetter79945 жыл бұрын
jason woodyard That’s what mine do, I just use them as a decent flood light while off road
@Yippynutsmacker7 жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't you just depress the white tabs while it was all installed in the truck. Would of taken you less then 5 min for both of them.
@LSglock897 жыл бұрын
Ryan Hermary it’s pretty difficult to get all the small bolts off of the plastic housing and maneuver in there comfortably. This method shouldn’t take too long, once you do one side it’s a breeze. It beats taking off the entire front bumper as one other install video showed.
@Yippynutsmacker7 жыл бұрын
Gotta do it by feel ;)
@WolfMcQuaid7 жыл бұрын
Ryan Hermary I can confirm that to be able to get to the small 7mm bolts around the housing is very difficult. You are better off just taking the whole housing off. There are 5, 7mm bolts around the plastic light housing that need to be taken off to get to the light itself.

Ryan Hermary trust me it aint happening that way i just did mine and believe me it aint easy mostly kuz of space

I don't think there's room to pull out the housing even if you're able to take off the little bolts
@cliff3321 Жыл бұрын
Chevy could have added a few more bolts to make sure the bracket wasn’t going to move a millimeter. Lol😅
