Thank you, Sir, for your reaction. The "high" notes or tone that she reached is called "Whistle tone/notes". And the singer many compare her to is the amazing, Mariah Carey. Morissette has even been called, "The Mariah Carey of the Philippines". But, Mariah Carey is not the first to have ever reached those notes (many think she is). I'm sure there have been others but the one who I first remember is another beloved singer, from the U.S. during the 70's. Her name is Minnie Ripperton and the song is, "Loving You" (chocked with the whistle notes). The song was written by the late Mrs. Ripperton and her husband. And that song was out several years before Mariah Carey was ever a "household name", here in the U.S.. Now so far, the 2 songs you've reacted to, of Morissette, have been on the Wish Bus radio station (live). Her live performances, on stage, are just as, if not more, incredible. I suggest a reaction to "And I Am Telling You" (performed originally by Jennifer Holliday on Broadway in 1981 Ms. Holliday won a Grammy for this song). Morissette performed this as the finale song in her concert, after singing at least 25+ songs previously! She looks like a Goddess on stage and you will see a "sassy" side of her during it. Make no mistake....she is, I've read and heard in interviews with her...one of the most humble artists there is. I'll leave you with this. You can just about name any song and she has covered it. Her cover of "Rise Up" (by Andra Day) on the Wish Bus is fantastic and has well over MANY millions of views. I, personally, think her acapello version of the same song, however, is even more beautiful. She performed this at home during the pandemic with a group called 3rd Avenue. All of the voices were done separately and edited together by the amazing Kiko Salazar. She did many songs from home during Covid. Her Broadway songs, Defying Gravity, Home, She Used To Be Mine, Someone Like You....are a must listen to. Thank you again for your reaction.
