Adonis Tabanda, the guy on the bass guitar is her Musical Director and 3rd Av band is his creation. At least that is how I understand the whole colab. He has been behind her music for ~6 years.

You're quite correct in the assumption of 3rd Ave being like a "super karaoke recording band"....they are sorta like a superband in that the members are successful solo artists in their own right and they started out as an elite wedding band believe it or not and are in demand with well-to-do personalities and celebrities in the Philippine entertainment landscape. Their musical director is the bassist who you could clearly see to her left, the very musically talented Adonis Tabanda who is Morissette's musical director as well and her bassist for her live band and a long time collaborator. You could see him in some of Morissette's live stream videos and the pandemic shutdown videos of the acapella version of "Rise Up' and Mariah Carey's "Fly Like A Bird"

And knowing that you are also a Morissette fan like us, so when you saw that Mori has just released this Bruno Mars medley you must have been excited to watch it! And I like that you've really enjoyed it, from start to finish! It is really an enjoyable experience watching this, that's why like many of us here, we keep on repeat watching it! 8 minutes of wonderful music is just too short. Queen Morissette is a world class artist. What a amazing medley! Morissette and KZ imo are the only 2 Filipino female artist that can sing upbeat/rock style of music. The rest of the female Filipino singers are still living in the 80s and 90s singing love ballads. Morissette is proving with her amazing versatility in her voice she can adapt with more modern style R&B/Pop and move on from covering love ballads from the past. She’s simply amazing!! Regarding your commentary, starting at 9:22 - Yesss! She's using a lot of voice compression to create an intense, restrained vocal production. Very Bruno Mars, indeed! And then, on the next song, beginning at 10:24, she lessens the compression to make her voice sound bigger and fuller. So much to talk about here, just hard to believe that a such a small group of young people can produce such a fantastic piece of of work, Imagine in 5yrs what they will drop on us.. This is the Magic, Her with her Team, even though Adonis is no longer with 3rd Av, he and his people have worked with her long enough to understand what it takes to keep up, after all the misses, over the years and the HITS, he and they know her talent better than anybody and this shows it, It just works. She mentioned recently that being with Underdog and having the freedom to work with different labels and Artists has opened some doors that in the past years were closed, What is coming? Cant wait to be surprised. There is no way that she could have fallen into more caring and understanding arms than with Dave, He understands her and her "look" and sound better than anybody on the planet, Clearly. The Camera and Editing/Mix is just as if its Produced by a Multi Million dollar Record Co. between her, him and all the people involved its a Home run. This is what she needs to bring to the Live shows, This and a Mix of Signature and FTS, (Unplugged), and the lines will be long at the Ticket windows. Mori is as we know a perfectionist and everything has to be just right, and it will be, no doubt. The Threelogy Tour (pt.2) starting next month in the States is what it is, But this..This is where the grind and the hard work and dedication shows up big time. The Phoenix is shaking off the ashes of the past and getting Ready to Burst into Flight full speed, and I am so ready for it. Lezzzgoooooo!!! Thanks Jessie, Great job! some btch about the pauses, but you do it right, keep on with what ya do.
