I have been following her for 7 years, through advice on youtube. the first time I heard it I was surprised, as my brain had not yet processed its unique and velvety, soft and enveloping vocal timbre, its off-scale breathing capacity and the ability to perform any singing technique in a way flawless .. .. Perfect. it's perfect, never seen a singer with such precision of execution his vowels and consonants are perfectly on the note .... perfect. then I continued the journey and still today, performance after performance, it amazes me every time I see something new. When Greatest Showman was trying to get the green light from the producers they got the cast together for a read through complete with the music. So many great songs were done for that movie, but the most moving rendition of the most popular song was done in that conference room and not in the movie itself. Keala Settle played Lettie, the bearded lady, and was terrified to sing This Is Me in front of an audience. She had always stayed behind the podium and not put herself forward until this was filmed. It's the most uplifting thing I've seen in a long time. You'll definitely need the Kleenex for this one.
