I have been out 25 years, and am still learning more about the extent of lying an deceit that goes on in L.D.S. Inc. You do an amazing job in presenting the latest news.

I would say that I have learned more about the daily workings of the corporation after leaving than I ever knew while in and serving for over 45 years.

I was so naive about mission presidents when serving as a young missionary. I just thought they were missionaries who were called three years instead of two. When first arriving in country, we all stayed at the mission home for a day or so to set up bank accounts and what not before being assigned to our areas. Upon leaving we were each presented with a bill for food and lodging!

They handed you a bill?! How low can they go?

I served my mission from 1978 to 1980, I ate 2 meals at the mission presidents house during my 2 years, I was never billed for anything there. When I arrived at the MTC they billed all of us for everything. Is billing for mission meals with the mission a new thing?

I am a nonMormon who has lived all my life in Utah. I would see the church do things like changes and I would always wonder why the mormons didn't see the stuff I thought was so sketchy.

God the floodlights! When I was in the trauma unit those floodlights from the Oakland Temple obnoxiously “flooded” my room. Waking up from anesthesia I was confused by this. It’s super, well obnoxious

Acts 5: 38 “And now, I tell you, stay away from these men and leave them alone. For if this plan or this work is of men, it will be overthrown; 39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even be FOUND FIGHTING AGAINST GOD.” Let that sink in!!

I don’t believe in god so it’s not sinking very far.

Wonder why a person who left the LDS church spends so much time blogging against it. As I once heard: "Many people can leave the Church, but few can leave it alone".l

The main reason is that people are traumatized by the LDS cult. Consequently, when they leave, they want to warn outsiders not to fall prey, and they want to teach members about the deception.

Fun fact: About 67% of those who are baptized as converts leave within their first year. Most of these never look back (i.e. they absolutely leave it alone). Those who do not often have reasons for engagement which may include decades in the church or close family members who still participate. Perhaps you can provide a good example of good behavior by choosing to leave those who left the church alone.

I didn’t leave the church, it left me when I went to my bishop for help with abuse of an intimate nature that was perpetrated on me by high ranking church officials. I was put on a path to repentance for “participating “ in my own grapes 🍇 between the ages of 8 - 11. I speak about abuse because I can’t sleep at night if I don’t. If you feel good about the way the church protects perpetrators and shames victims, that’s your choice. If we speak up, that’s our choice. I speak because I care. I have family and friends in the church, I want it to be a safer place for them. Please use care and caution when shaming us for speaking up. Thank you.
