Mon cher beau-père m'a partagé l'histoire de la conservation de la lumière, une histoire du prédicateur Moody, qui nous rappelle qu'il nous revient de maintenir la flamme de la foi allumée en partageant Sa parole. Après cette merveilleuse histoire, Ira a ensuite chanté (ce qui m'a rappelé mon propre père chantant des hymnes des années auparavant). Mais celui-ci était particulièrement spécial, l'hymne "Storms of Life" de 1871. Que Dieu vous bénisse tous !

I specifically searched the history of this hymn because first of all, I have loved it since my youth days as a Baptist, from the Baptist Hymnal, in my older years, I have learnt it in the Sesotho Language, a Language widely spoken in the Southern African country of Lesotho 🇱🇸 and in South Africa. Many people do not understand the meaning of this song, as they sometimes sing it to usher the Pastor up the podium to deliver his or her sermon,, in Baptist, we would sing it as a closing hymn for example, to alert the body of Christ to go out and continue to Let The lower lights burning, much more like the hymn Jesus Saves!
