Why did you do it twice? If you don’t mind me asking. and who drank the second shot each time?

So two people can enjoy a full double-shot together. Not videoed here, is me next foaming the milk for my wife's cappuccino :)

You are right, the learning is very steep. I bought one a week ago and haven't had much success and coffee is way too weak.

Congrats! Keep at it, and I bet you will have success. There are a lot of variables (such as grind level, timing, light roast vs dark roast, etc..) that you get more familiar with over time, and through experiments :)

Great clip. Just got mine a week ago and it's pulling some lovly espresso. next level from a sage express machine I had . Using a eureka single dose grinder and VST 20g basket ( puting in 22,5g) I get about 40+g in 28-32 sec range.

Hi, can I ask a favor. I'm considering this machine but need to place it on a shallower than normal counter. I'm ok with the tray protruding but of course want the feet fully seated. Can you tell me the measurement foot to foot, and the minimum distance from the wall behind to the end of the front foot? Thanks if you have the time to help :)
@ChrisMcClanahan
@ChrisMcClanahan Жыл бұрын
The machine can go flush against the wall, and if you do that, then you would need at least 16 inches of counter top to rest it properly (with about half of the foot hanging off). That would work OK, but you would need about 17 inches to get the 'foot' fully on the counter. If you need more space, you could consider buying a slab of wood or metal that is cut to the size of the machine, for it to rest on.

Nice video! Also looking into getting the Pro 400 :). I see you pushing away the hot water tap at the beginning of the video. Do you think the machine is too narrow and the hot water tap is too close to the brew lever, or is it a non-issue? I've read some reviews with people talking about that. Also, what is your opinion on the drip tray? Some write that the drip tray isn't deep enough and that water splashes on to their countertops when flushing. I wonder if this really happens and is annoying or that it is perfectly fine and people are just nitpicking. I really like the looks of the machine and the small form factor, so hopefully I'm going to like it.

Ah, I thought I responded earlier, but it seems my reply didn't post. Thanks for the comment! I never found the hot water tap to be bothersome (I didn't even realize I pushed it). It is an interesting design choice to make it that narrow though. I've never seen the drip try spill over, and it seems easily big enough for daily use. I just empty every session (2-3 double shots) and no issues. I also like the overall look, it is nice and shiny and also produces great coffee!

I see your boiler pressure is hanging under 1bar. Any particular issues there? I notice mine is doing the same...
@ChrisMcClanahan
@ChrisMcClanahan Жыл бұрын
Good question, I'm not sure what is expected. It tends to bounce around 1bar during extraction, and I think the boiler kicks on when going below 1bar. Maybe another temperature setting will behave differently? I'm using the middle '0' setting.

@I A Nice! I should clarify that I probably could make coffee after 8-10mins also, but I like to wait until the group head and cups are warm also. I don't know about efficiency though.
