Accountability is kryptonite for so many Americans. I remember when it came out in the news cycle that Sam Bankman's Mom wrote an academic paper calling for the abandonment of accountability.

You can not depend these days for people to hold their selves accountable these days. Not even our country's president or his wife will hold their selves accountable. Accountability comes with integrity, honesty, and self-respect, as well as respect for others.

Transparency, honesty, humility, integrity, dignity, self-respect, respect for others, ability to accept criticism, not being prideful, not being defensive, and communication all have to be included in the realm of the definition of accountability. As well as having a set of standards that are acceptable.

It was wonderfully cool this morning. Late last night I turned my thermostats way up and opened the windows to let the fresh, cool air in. Adam’s big screw-up in the Gareden of Eden was his failure to take accountability for his actions and that of the woman given to him. He failed to be accountable as a man and husband. see: Genesis 3:17. When the Federal Reserve Act and the Income Tax were codified into law the people of our nation, in general, stopped being accountable for their own self-sufficiency. If we were ever to turn to a consumption tax only, people would be aware of their consumption habits and produce more for themselves and their families so as to not pay that tax. Just my opinion. 🤷‍♀️
