We're using "morning menus" to focus on readings and songs that we want to study. I'll give you a peek inside our current menu. The plan is to spend roughly 6 school weeks focusing on these readings, and then switch the contents of the morning menu to a new set of readings to focus on.

We are often in the tropics so weather doesn’t change even tho we are in different places!!? We love morning virtues!!! We are doing the self control issue!!! We do the bible study but my younger 2 aren’t expected to join in but it brings my older kids in!!! I expect my older kids to explain the manners part!!! We discuss the art randomly!!! My older kids lead the discussions!!! We don’t use German songs in our morning menus but we do listen to songs in German!!!

Hahahaha! Your description of your "morning menu" in a folder with page protectors had me laughing! I looked up those menus and was appalled at the price and came up with the same solution....a three prong folder with page protectors. Cheap, easy to load up/change out and very, very practical.

Decided to make my own homemade menus from hymns I found online and ones we normally sing at church. For the Bible verse, going to use the ones we’ve been doing at church. Not doing poems or art within it for now, instead, lots of virtues/manners!!

Very similar to our "morning menu" (also not a menu, but a binder with sheet protectors). We have a hymn and a folk song, Bible verses and art pieces. We are usually working through an anthology of poems separately, reading a poem a day but not memorizing any yet. I should start that. We tend to alternate. If we're doing Chinese songs, then we'll be doing a Western artist and English poet. If English songs, then Chinese artiest and poet, etc.

So are you using bits and pieces from Homeschool Languages, as well as Llamitas? I have 3 kids ages 4-10 at varying levels and watched your videos comparing the programs. Homeschool Languages might be a good start for us.

I have a homemade menu. I use sheet protectors and my ProClick to bind it all together with a laminated cover and back. 😊 We haven’t used it in awhile, but it’s there if we decide to come back to it.

Any thoughts on the fact that this "unabashedly" Christian homeschool curriculum has decided to list things for sale on the site that are labeled as "secular '? ... 😐. I enjoyed the things I purchased from GC; something that drew me into in the beginning was the fact that she was so adamant about her stance on Christianity which feels like it is waning by appeasing secular homeschools.

I have a super practical question: is this the hard copy deconstructed or a print of the digital copy?
