We keep trapping our racing pigeons and it is good to see now that they are learning! this weekend is the big moment for some of those young birds to be let out and fly for the first time!

Maney i have a question my breeder laid an egg on oct 18 and now they are not sitting on the egg anymore i throw it away now. How many weeks before they lay the second clutch?

Don't feed them for at least 36 hours before letting them out or a drink otherwise they will go up and not come back have them looking for food and water and they will know we're to go as you have been training them to go back into your loft

Hi Mate Thought that was coming about this weekend, had to be as you can't let them out not knowing if they won't come straight back in, you wouldn't be able to think at work with them outside !!

May I suggest a drop bird, such as white fantail, they are easily homed and don’t fly much, clip their wings and they fly less.

Maney you could fly the barless hen and then the barless splits since they have been out there for longer and if they go back to the other loft thy know how to go in

You should keep them hungry and they would trap a lot easier and plus keep them more hungry for when you let them out and they won't go anywhere
